Thanks it worked ! :D I downloaded the latest version of Gecko OS (1.9.3.1) onto my SD card and renamed the main.dol to boot.dol and enabled NTSC in the options and now I can play my NTSC-Japan game. :D I have a PAL wii with a chip but the burnt dvd can't be read. :( But now I lost all my MKWii game data ! :'( Does anyone know how I can get it back even though I have a Japan game disc now ?

What serial is your system? If it's a LU11 or one of the newer systems it won't read backups, the only way around it is using USB Loader. Also did you install the custom IOS files or just Homebrew channel?

( I was thinking: load the game as NTSC and force it to play on the pal wii? Because i have ssbb(US version) and it plays in color on the PAL wii using the (EU)freeloader on an NTSC tv)

Datel's "Freeloader" was made obsolete when the 3.3 update was rolled out. 3.3+ patched the trucha sign bug, and yes. This is 100x better than freeloader (Datel you blood sucking leeches)

The version you've downloaded most likely has a ".elf" file. THe new HBC only loads .dol files.

Downloaded this version - (stupid youtube wont let me link)

Google "inurl:usbgecko" and you'll find their site. In their download section find the link tagged

"Gecko OS 1.07b (For HBC V9 Beta)"

You need to Get A thing called Ocarina. Once you Downloaded it, Extract it, Go to Pc, Open Code Manager. Search for Gecko os codes on google.Copy The codes you want, Then Save it in a note pad. Once you're done, Save the notepad name to the Game Id.For instance, I used SSBB. it's RSBE01. G oto code manager, click file, Open text file. Then look for the cheats you saved. Check all the boxes you want, Then click export to GCT Store it to the sd card. Then, your done.

Basically it looks quite straight forward: I go to the Boot Language Option and set it to "English" but after that when I return to the main Wii menu the language is still displayed in Korean =(...any help on this? It's a freeloader, it temporarily resets your wii's region code. EX. If you have a Us wii, it will temporarily get rid of the US Wii's code. when you put in a game that is either Pal or Japan, it will make the wii's code, the code of your game's region. In this case, PAL or Japan. To change it back, simply reload with an American game.

You can only play backups if you have a modchip, because the DVD drive itself (not the the Wii) checks if the game you are loading is a original or not.
