I dont think you can get much more ninja than that. To perform successful throws most of the time you would need to be practicing alot. Brilliant video!

Are Bo shuriken throws deadly? How deep do they get into flesh? Because I think that they are made for surprising enemies, not killing them.

You are right, bo shurikens and shurikens were not made for kills, they were made to distract the enemy while you would have more time to think, kill, or escape.

I throw them too. I didn't know they were so popular. I make my stars out of 16 gauge sheet metal i don't know how to make Kunai or Bo-Shuriken but i'd like to know.

Making a kunai is quite hard (I'm talking about real traditional japanese kunai, not amercian throwing knives with a ring at the end)

Making bo shuriken is very easey. Just cut out a 6 mm thick, 17-19 cm long round or square metal bar. File the point (3 cm) to a sharp point and there you go!

The square bo shuriken are :meifu shinkage ryu

round: shirai ryu.

You don't want to mess even a market flea sword pointlessly. Use a soft target to throw your sword at. Even so sword throwing is pure for experimentation, you should keep your sword in your hands until the end...

Ever since I learn no spin I cant do spin toss anymore maybe if I really tried but no- spin just seems to be easier for me.

I think you get a better understanding of a weapon and how you can use it when you make it.

I also make my own swords but I havnt found a good enough target for a demonstration with it

well I used old barn nails they where just ordinary steel dont use iron it is to soft for this in case of hitting target wrong they will bend. Just stick with steel rods

well since I always carry some form of a shuriken on me. Say I was going to get mugged by a guy with a knife and he is about 10 to 15ft away you have enough time to put one straight into the heart or lungs. Even in close combat it is very efficient. Its really not about using it its about knowing you can if you must. Always be prepared for the unexpected.

Well if it comes down to him or me, yeah I could do it. Nah I dont get in trouble cause I dont just go wavin it around but if a cop ever searches me I usually use the excuse that I just bought them from a friend or a flea market something believable.

Do you understand that is exactly the area you do not aim shuriken. It seems people in America, aside from KeyBoredNinja and ScottBaioIsDead know absolutely nothing about true shurikenjutsu as it is taught in Japan. I can assure you the style of shuriken you're using will not penetrate the breast bone of a human. Please seek out a real instructor before doing harm to yourself and getting involved in legal troubles.

Thank you, unfortunatly I have not been able to participate in any martial arts although I would love to I just dont have any funds to do so. I do freerunning and parkour but again I taught myself all that I know in that as well. I guess I have what Bruce Lee called "The Ease". I will keep you informed on any new shuriken/martial art videos.
