  • If Newt Gingrich and James Brown got together to make a baby, Wayne would be their son. I can't believe the public let him get away with the same look, moves and semi-feel of James Brown. And singing the Harlem Shuffle??? Wow! I'm surprised he didn't start singing Papa's Got A Band New Bag, Night Train, or Super Bad. Oh, well. Keep doing your thing Wayne. Keep on keepin' on.

  • That hair would win best in show at the Poodle contest

  • best version by VIGON"in vigon le retour" an incredible showman

  • OK, who bleached James Brown?

  • Proto-Trump hair ...

  • Wayne and James were both from Macon Ga and they were good friends

  • @hamhockdoc No, Wayne is from Thomaston, Georgia and James is from Augusta, Georgia.

  • THE BEST VERSION EVER BAR NONE

  • Wayne was/is a tremendous showman..... and the C.C. Riders were a fantastic backing band..... His best song was " Going Back to Miami" After his version of Harlem Shuffle came out several other groups in the Mid-West covered HIM... Most notably from St. Louis,' Bob Kuban & the In-Men' (with Walter Scott) and "The Fabulous Flippers" from Wichita, KS

  • i wonder how james brown felt about wayne?? they are both from georgia, did they know each other??

  • @miamiwax James Brown and Wayne Cochran knew each other, though I can't say how well. Wayne told a friend of mine who interviewed him about 15 years ago that while , of course , he had the utmost respect for Brown , and for Otis Redding , that the feeling was mutual , because they knew he was not a fake.

  • Ah, finally found this - been looking for it for years. This is how this song was meant to be done.

  • wow! crackin post this is ! Doin the tune good JUSTICE, unlike The Rolling Stones HORRENDOUS mid 80's cover. They slaughtered it! it were shit!

  • I'm not sure but I think Wayne may be lip-synching here. ; ))

  • @smokeemonkee LOL yeah it was par for the course and usually still is on live broadcasts, due to the intense tech and manpower needed just to do a 2.45m song totally live being far too expensive. ;)

  • Wayne's the best..... Blue Eyed Soul.......
