Hope you put some good bearings in there, those rotors are gonna break 9000 real quick with a supercharger. What kit did you use? I've been looking for a supercharger kit for my FC.
The Paxton SN-89 kit running a 3.75" pulley will hit around 9PSI boost at 7,000RPM. That is the rev limit on a S4 13b and it is also the max boost you should put on a non-upgraded Sn-89.
All motors will eventually fail if you over-rev it by 2,000RPM (supercharged or not). I have no idea where you got the idea that he would rev that high. And I have no idea where you got all this talk about bearings failing in Rotary engines. Maybe Gran Turismo?
There are race bearings designed for the application of raving a rotary up to 10,000 rpm. A supercharger I could certainly see hitting 9000 in a hurry. Putting those race bearings in gives him more leeway to react to the supercharger, as well as the supercharger reacting to him. Additionally since his power should be sitting a bit higher in the rev band now, race bears and apex seals ect, should be nice to have.
Also there's no reason to be nasty or suggest my car knowledge is attained simply from Gran Turismo, especially if you aren't sure if I can then provide a coherent response to your barb. If you have an answer to my question, its appericiated, but there's no reason to insult my comment if you don't understand it. Racingbeat has some awesome parts designed to break the 7000 rev limit. Cheers.
the temp gauge is at cold.....its the top right gauge.
The S5 temp gauge goes only 1/4 for normal and has only 3 setting cold normal and overheating. A S4 temp gauge is just like any other normal temp guage, it increases nominal steppings.
@lanevo343 hahah, warm up the car and if you plan on reving it, warm it up to when the neddle is right in the middle, than turn it off. start your little movie and rev that shit!
There is no "kit" for these. You build it yourself. This isn't your moms Nissan....

If you don't rev the shit out of a cold engine like every other dipshit on YouTube, you're not rolling like a boss.

I'd have to say that this is THE FIRST fc video I've watched, where someone had a full tank of gas. HiFive to you sir!

can you put a super charger on a stock 1991 13B, does the motor have to be built up for the supercharger? like apex seals and other things?
thash1127 1 year ago
@thash1127 To get full function out of it yea but I dont believe it be necessary. Highly Recommended porting tho.

as lanevo343 says, the motor was cold, and it was the very first start up....hence the non-revy-ness of the vid.
