The police officer in this video displayed an extraordinary amount or restraint and caution. From the beginning to the end he gave the fleeing motorcyclist the opportunity to do the right thing again and again. Personally I think the officer should have run him off the road at his first opportunity. Fleeing motorists endanger EVERYONE.

@duanedragon2 Think about what you just said. Police Officers who pursue vehicles at high speeds present just as much danger to pedestrians as the motorist in violation. If the officer lets him go at the first sign that the motorist won't stop, then said motorist will slow his speed after a while. Even if the motorist doesn't slow his speed it is far less dangerous than a high speed chase. This cop was reckless and it scares me that he would blow through intersections like he did. If you think the bike is stolen, which in many cases it is, how would you expect them to knock on dudes door the next day? A chase is often canceled if the crime is not serious enough, too much traffic is about, or if you CAN knock on dude's door the next day. You make too general of a statement.
And by the way American police are different from city to city much more state to state, and some agencies have a no pursuit policy for example.
The state I live in for example isn't much smaller than the United Kingdom when you consider one is a state in a country and the other is a country including its outliers.

They were 100% right to stop him by the methods they used, but they should have stopped and gone thru the red lights more safely. Pursuits suck no matter what, but the responsibility for anything that happens to them is the person being stopped.

You guys commenting on this are a bunch of idiots. If you noticed the officer hit him because the biker displayed a firearm at the officers. Thats why they were pursuing. When the officer took him into custody he kept asking wheres the gun. The second officer arrives and removes the firearm from him and walks away holding the gun in his right hand. He could kill somebody because the bike speeding?? if you look at 4:23 he tried to pit him but miss but there a people standing on the bus stop sidewalk. @Sahadi420 just pull to the side of the road for a few seconds them reload and explode,it's that easy,or carry 2 mac 10s just use shoulder harness or strap 4 to the motorcycle,it's that easy.Fortunately I have developed techniques to win police chasing without killing them,and don't ask me how.

The police officer in this video displayed an extraordinary amount or restraint and caution. From the beginning to the end he gave the fleeing motorcyclist the opportunity to do the right thing again and again. Personally I think the officer should have run him off the road at his first opportunity. Fleeing motorists endanger EVERYONE.

@duanedragon2 Think about what you just said. Police Officers who pursue vehicles at high speeds present just as much danger to pedestrians as the motorist in violation. If the officer lets him go at the first sign that the motorist won't stop, then said motorist will slow his speed after a while. Even if the motorist doesn't slow his speed it is far less dangerous than a high speed chase. This cop was reckless and it scares me that he would blow through intersections like he did. Yeah, just let everyone get away thats a great idea. Honestly, there needs to be harsher penalties for fleeing the police. You put the local public in danger when you flee. They should just shoot you in your big fat head straight out 10 seconds after you start running from them.

Perhaps it would be safer for all involved to have more competent, level-headed police get a better description of the perp's vehicle and 'catch' him later, after he's done fleeing at speed.

If you think the bike is stolen, which in many cases it is, how would you expect them to knock on dudes door the next day? A chase is often canceled if the crime is not serious enough, too much traffic is about, or if you CAN knock on dude's door the next day. You make too general of a statement.
