i think mark gibbon sounds more threatening and menacing as rusty nail and joy ride 2 had actual horror in it rather than comedy and other b.s. in the first film. ted levine was ok but sounded so plain. mark sounded a lot better and was more fitting for the role of rusty nail then any other actor who played the role

Then at the same time her sister died but the chick showed little remorse over her own blood sister, yet she was prepared to slit a guys throat over a guy that failed at protecting himself? Suck!

Yes, Ted Levine was amazing as the voice of Rusty Nail in the first movie, I was so sad to learn that he was recast in the sequel. The new guy sounds okay, but nowhere near as menacing as Levine.

I agree! But Ted Levine has been creepy in my book ever since I was ten and he played Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs (my all time favorite scary movie). Horror sequels are rarely (if ever) as good as the originals but I'm sure I'll watch it anyway (beside, Kyle Schmid is a gret actor, so I have a little bit of hope).

As far as this movie goes, I'm mainly just mad that they're not bringing back Ted Levine as the voice of Rusty Nail. The new guy sounds all right, but nowhere near as menacing as Levine. I'm also mad that the trailer seems to show that, unlike the original, this one will be less about creepy suspense and more about lame, exploitative gore.
