Until now I never found myself likeing a music pease without vocalist...but what do the band members do in this song besides looking awesome in the pv...there is no guitar bass or drum in it right?

@ArbrusMN - You're right. I believe that Mana only composed the music, and there is whispering...done by all three members, but besides that no, there is no bass, no guitar, and of course no drums because this song was made for the drummer who passed away.

@ArbrusMN - Of course, friend :) Your English is great and it has only been a week so please don't worry about it ;) Take a look at my playlist "Kyoukyuu Radio" there is a good amount of Malice Mizer videos I have uploaded in there...my favorite song is Kyomu no naka de no Yuugi (虚無の中での遊戲) and my favorite album is "Bara no Seidou" (薔薇の聖堂). Look up anything with Klaha as the vocalist (such as Beast of Blood, Gardenia, and Shiroi Hada ni Kuruu ai to Kanashimi no Rondo (白い肌に狂う愛と哀しみの輪舞).

@ArbrusMN - Basically everything out of the Bara no Seidou album is my favorite. The drummer's name was Kami, he was a great drummer. Look up the song au revoir by Malice Mizer, it's wonderful. He is the one with long reddish hair with the imagery of butterflies :) and yes, I too was also incredibly saddened when I heard he was dead. It's always a great loss when such wonderful people pass away...

..World needs Malice Mizer to reform but one wonders if the ego that is Gackt can come back. Kozi, Yuki and Mana played together last year for the first time since 2001..all it needs now is Gackt to come back.

@Dungarth - I don't think Gackt would or needs to be in Malice Mizer, I personally prefer Klaha, and I far prefer the music following Gackt leaving and the death of Kami to anything they made with him. Malice Mizer is supposed to be about "Malice and Misery" but I didn't find what they made with Gackt to go along with that theme.

@ForestBalrog I personally do believe that Malice Mizer would be just good enough with only Mana, Kozi and Yu~ki in line up. No more than these 3. Kozi could do the vocals, Mana drums (he stated he had been a drummer during his high school days) and Yu~ki bass.

This piece is truly magnificent. I cried listening to it. Saikai no Chi to Bara is so sad and sublime and it breaks my heart every time I hear it.;(;(;( Kami-sama was so young when he died. His smile was always so comforting. It's a big loss for music to lose a drummer like him.T_T Rest In Peace, Kami-sama.

I just recently found out about Malice Mizer and I always wondered why they took a funeral-goth like direction...now I see why.

He loved butterflies...he had tattoos of them, and loved the symbolism they held.

If you watch the pv for "Au Revoir" and if you watch the live version of "Le Ciel", you will see that he loved butterflies.

I really liked the style of the video... I feel kind of bad saying that I liked the video, when it's about somebody's death... But they did a really good job on it, and it's a beautiful tribute in a kind of morbid way... If that makes any sense.

It makes perfect sense to me. And I agree, it is really beautiful. But it's really sad. Kami was amazing...it was almost ten years ago, and so was this video. He died on June 21, 1999. =(
