i have watched chakde and it's one of my favourites .. also swades .. i didn't watch don cos it's a copy of amitabh's don ..

i appreciate SRK's acting prowess but not his choice of movies .. regarding chak de india kind of movies .. these come only once in 3-4 yrs from him ... but every AAMIR KHAN movie (in the last few years) is a new chapter in the history of Bollywood .. that's the difference

apart from making money, aamir seeks to make a genuine impression :)

See, I agree with your partially. I do agree comparing Aamir with Amitabh is silly coz each one of them has a style of their own and strengths too. Also, Bhootnath might have been a flop commercially but somehow I liked Amitabh's and the kid's acting in the movie. Not to mention SRK's kind gesture of agreeing to do his role as a friend, without accepting the payment and also using his personal wardrobe, in order to cut the production expenses.

Khan has adopted the 'method acting', which is to immerse himself, even by sacrificing his looks ; like Marlon Brando, he can play the romantic lad because of his handsome looks, but he do 'art for art'. He is amongst the greatest of India : Nasseeruddin Shah, Yusuf Khan (Dilip Kumar), Om Puri or Kamaal Haasan.

They both have a very different sense of acting, but not one is better than the other. Mr AB is a legend, Amir Khan is on the road to becoming one.

Aamir was asked by someone, he did not intentionally bring up the issue of Black. What Black portrays about the approach to treat ill person is wrong, and Aamir Khan is right about that. Bachhan acts in a movie and does his best on what script and director wants to portray. It is an irony that Bachhan never studies whether movies message is right. Unlike Bachhan, Aamir only acts on movies that give right message in right way. He also gives the best performance.

aamir said amitabh's performance in Black was overrated (i too agree)...Mr. Bachchan couldn't digest that obviously and said comments which indirectly meant that Aamir has said so to gain publicity for his debutant director movie Taare Zameen Par....I think Amitabh is a great intelligent man, however I am personally unsure about the greatness of his acting as percieved by the whole of India (the latter were my personal comments which obviously needs to be discarded).

you cannot judge amitabh's acting capabilities with the trash of films he is doing. you should see some of his films in his prime such as deewar, agneepath, trishul. but I would say he is still heads and shoulders above some of the current actors and his contemporary heroes from the 70s who are doing inconsequential roles. I personally think his performance in Black is his best performance from the last 10 years but it is just my opinion
