There are many types of aliens out there. ones have flying saucers, others probably have other tachnology, so they only have enough to send 2 of their "pilots" to conquer a planet. The question here is, where did the second alien go, who infested the older astronaut?

But yea, I guess it was to make kids and thus to conquer more people and then the world (duh!)

Good movie but I'm disappointed with the ending. If the alien Spencer had to die in the end, there should've been some use of it. The ending made no difference, really. But overall, great acting. I was totally engrossed in it. Great work by both Depp and Theron.

Unfortunately, just dumb. Story is hackneyed, the sound effects are cheesy (tank breathing sounds? c'mon already). Depp seems brain dead even before the "incident". I don't think he can handle acting and faking an accent all at the same time. Cinematography is OK, score is OK, and Theron is at least adequate as always, but those elements alone can't save this movie.
