Candy Clark was a cutesy in the first "American Graffiti," but she's not a bad looking little hippie in this one, either. However, they should have wrote and made a better sequel.
I first heard that Donovan song when I watched this movie many years ago. I like the way it starts with a napalm strike in South Vietnam that almost kills Toad, who is out in the jungle trying to shoot himself. That song has been one of my favorites ever since I heard it and I made my own Youtube video with "Season of the Witch" as the soundtrack. The video isn't much to see, but the song is still good : ).
Falfa's the sole protagonist force of American Graffiti 1 (he drove the "Wicked" Black '55 Chevy) & in reality was a '55 Chevy Bel-Air w/ a 427ci Big Block V8. But American Graffiti 1 took place in 1962 & the 427 didn't even come out until like 1964, in '62 all they had was the 409cid or the previous generation of Chevy Big Block V8's that were considerably smaller engine displacement...like 345ci, I think
He could have been running a 409 in that car. No one really knows since they was not a shot of the engine compartment. Would have been easy to spot a 409 or 348 under the hood which were the only two big blocks chevy had in 62. But its possible he was running a 427 Z11 which was offered for the 63 model year which started late summer of 62. So its possible he could have been running one. But then again its just a movie.
O.K., the whole "drug thing" totally killed the whole clean cut aspect of what the first "AMERICAN GRAFFITI" WAS REALLY ALL ABOUT! So sad Lucas decided to have those classic characters involved in drugs!!! What the heck!!???? No wonder no body has ever heard of this movie!!
I like the way they have multipile shots in this movie a la Woodstock. The way Harrison Ford appears in that small frame just as that guy lights up that joint is funny. Ever since I first watched this movie when I was kid, "Season of the Witch" has been one of my favorite songs. Never heard of it till I heard it in this movie. It was put in at the end of the air strike in Vietnam that just about killed Toad when he was out in the jungle trying to shoot himself. lol
The first 3 Star War films were great. The last 3 stunk. American Graffiti was great. More American Graffiti was pretty cool because it gave us a chance to revisit a world very dear to many of us. What happened to Milner? How about Toad. Of course some of this was spelled out in the closing of the first one, Lucas just built on it. I liked the continuation.

What figures? All cops are bad guys?
Maybe kids do some wild and crazy stuff when they are teenagers, but that doesn't mean they can't change their life around.
Anyway, it's just a Hollywood movie script.
