Well, when he was at PSV he probably was the best goal keeper in the world. But he always needs time to adapt. He has the Dutch (eredivisie) number 1,2 and 3 record of played minutes without a goal. Van der Sar is good either though...

You are Dutch, 17 years old. You must have seen people like Derksen, Van Gelder, Mulder and Borst who all said that he was about the best keeper in the world at his PSV-time. Yes Van der Sar is probably better seen over his whole period, but do not forget that he too had some very bad times (Juventus). But you are probably an Ajax supporter... Correct? Gomes was not the best goalie in the world at the time... Cause he would have to be better then: Buffon, Van der Sar, Casillas, Reina, Dida, Cech....

and he's good he sure is.. and when he played at PSV he was the only reason why PSV would win some matches.. but to be called better then the ones I just named... no

No you don't have to go left, but they are the professionals and know what they are talking about. And Buffon... Seen him against Bayern? LOL. Seen Real Madrid vs AC Milan and the mistakes both keepers made? Besides, how good a keeper is, is relative. It also depends how good the defence in front of him is. And please... use than instead of then....

I'm not talking about now but in the time Gomes played for PSV DIda for instance was one of the best goalies in the world Dida has been out of the game for long time now... but Buffon and v.der Sar are much much better than Gomes... They made/make mistakes.. but Gomas made some horrible mistakes too...

@thejokerDJmedia Buffon is an awful keeper nowadays, same with Dida. Cech and Van Der Sar are very good keepers but Julio Cesar is better than both of them. Casillas is just a bigheaded, overrated twat.

He's the best back up keeper you could possibly get. You do realise Spurs got Cudicini on a free, right? Who would pass on that oppurtunity? Neither Gomes or Cudicini are currently the best keepers in the premier league but you'll struggle to find many squads with two keepers of their level.
