  • This is by far, One of the best bass covers, of any Kyuss song I've heard so far. Your playing is spot on, I'm fairly new to bass, but I can tell this song is gonna take a LONG time to learn. lol. Can you do a cover of Catamaran?

  • @raunchyrichy767 Thanks, but I was pretty sloppy on this video, so don't take it as gospel. I'm probably done with Kyuss covers for now, but there's lots more stoner rock coming.

  • despite some mistakes really good cover bro!!!!!keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

  • @BlackSabbathGR Sorry bud, I don't use tabs.

  • @BlackSabbathGR Yes sir. I trust my ears much more than I trust someone else's.

  • Holy shit, I can see by your videos that you have great fucking taste in music, man!

  • sick man!! whats low b tuned too?

  • Nice leg-up to learn it on my own. The sound on the album is too muddy/fuzzy to hear all of the bassline. Though you'r e timing is a bit sloppy, still an awesome work! Muchas Gracias

  • @TheFryBr Thanks. I got lost during the solo so my timing was most definitely off, haha. I had a hard time hearing some of the basslines too, but I found that boosting the low mids around 5-600hz and turning down the treble a bit works well for bringing them out.

  • @thirdwheel Understandably though Scott Reeder is a freaking beast.

  • nice cover, brah.

  • Love the little bits you added here and there! Sounds fuckin awsweome!

  • kyuss = fingers

  • @pattonPwr come on man you're making a fool of yourself in front of the whole internet

  • @dangerdeez ask scott reeder and he will tell you he did not use a pick for any of the 2 albums he recorded with kyuss...now how's the fool?

  • @pattonPwr Ask Nick Oliveri and he'll tell you that he used a pick for both of the albums he recorded with Kyuss.....so yeah, you're the fool.

  • @jambi880 I won't comment anything else, you will find out you're wrong... just google and study. Oliveri didn't play in this album. Nothing else to say.

  • @pattonPwr I never said he did play on this album. I know he didn't. But you said fingerstyle is necessary for Kyuss. It isn't.

  • @jambi880 i'm gonna star to like you... lol.. I said that "gardenia" should be played with fingers just as Scott Reeder did in the sky valley album. word!

  • @pattonPwr OK I've had enough of this now. Look back at your comment. It doesn't say "Gardenia = Fingers", it says "Kyuss = Fingers". Word!

  • @pattonPwr

    Scott Reeder (this song) definitely

But Nick Oliveri uses mostly pick

  • great! what tuning do you use?

    Greetings from Argentina

  • @lautaro25 C standard. Most Kyuss stuff is in this tuning.

Do you know the band Los Natas from Argentina? They're one of my favourites.

  • @thirdwheel Of course ! I'm going to her concerts whenever I can.

  • @thirdwheel natas rocks dude, they are very underated here in Argentina.

  • im kinda surprized you have'nt tried a couple videos without using a pick.

  • @alucardisdumb I can play a lot better with a pick than without, which is why you never see me use my fingers. I also enjoy spiting Youtube haters.

  • Hell yeah! First viewer, first comment, first like! I really like the way you played it. Cheers.
