  • He was not a Fascist, he was a liberator of Chile from the Communists! People forget the millions of murders under the hands of Communists around the world, just look at China, USSR, Vietnam, Cambodia or several other Communist countries. They lead the world in genocide!!!!

  • Why must a right wing coup be called "fascist"..if a marxists group would have taken power in Chile with the help of Cuba-Fidel and comitted genocide..then everybody would be happy no???

  • @am1966ath Well it's all about understanding the term "fascist." Fascism refers to the level of authoritarianism (power of the govt.) which can ultimately overrule rights of the individual. Governments led by people such as Stalin, Hitler and Mao were all considered "fascist" because they overruled the people's voice. In Cuba, however, this was a completely different story: it was FOR the people and maintained that attitude until America placed heavy sanctions.

    It would be "fascist", possibly.

  • @MrSovetski "Fascisism" is in my opinion an ideology..you can take power in a country being for example a military man(General) without being facist..you could be authoritarian, conservative and catholic without being fascist..there have been many dictators and armed groups in Latin America..not allof them, not being socialists but being armed and violent could be called fascist. The greec junta 1967 was authoritarian but I would not call them fascist..

  • @MrSovetski I thought that "Facists" were like Franco or the SS...creating mythology like King Arthur & roundtable type mysteries, big parades in the dark with torchlights, starnge heralded hero mythology and martyrs honoured in some fight..not all right wingers fall into this category..and some are just power hungry..don t think Franco or Pinochet cared much for ideology accept hating communism.

  • Great vid. I'm reading the Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein and it pretty much supports this with evidence too. How long?

  • @411smiths

Ive read the book too. The best account however is the "Battla de CHile" Even John Pilger has admitted as much :D

  • @MrReco12 It's funny how the material is out there and yet the system continues to prevail. How long?
