I have no nostalgia involved (haven't played the game yet) i'd say they overproduced the ds version a little, works for a lot of the songs in the game but this one benefits from simplicity ^_^

Well, the ds version tries to sound more like tokyo metropolitan's version of the song. If you didn't like that version, then you don't like the ds version.

@CountShadow Original versions are usually better than remakes.

In remakes they always make stupid changes like making the sound much worse, adding loading times and coming up with stupid new spellings for names even if the original spellings were perfectly fine already.
