  • With the superb London weather, this music, BBQ and beer... life doesn't get much better!

  • Well, I just had my daily dose of B3 and I feel much better, now!

  • 10/10 for camera man and editing Go Tone just love the BEEEEEEE 3 THREE

  • Масло върху котлон

  • Who is the guitar player?

  • OMG! Thats f***g blow me up!!!!!Excellent !!!!!!!!!!

Guys listen to "Slow Down Sagg " from his Live at the Orbit Room...

  • I've played keyboards since 1984. Tried almost everything BUT a Hammond organ. I now have some high end stuff in my arsenal but lately I've become aware just how powerful this classic really is. It fits into almost any type of music if you know how to use those drawbars. Yeah, I know it ain't a REAL Hammond - it's an accurate clone. I comment on the general classic-ness. It NEVER goes out of style! Synthesizers which were $4000 new end up being $150 in 10 or 15 years. Long live the tonewheel!

  • Estremamente Sensazionale, nn sentivo, una ritmica con controtempi e fraseggi altamente performanti da molto tempo. UN BLUES !!!! FANTASTICO !!!!

  • Tony . Each Generation somene new. Your love, your passion, your talent as the Master Jazz Organist is beyond question and doubt. I invite all your avid listeners and continued new arrivals to your music to sit back, relax, have the total faith that you .. The Artist,, is really going to take them somewhere else . SPECTACULAR MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 6:00 LOL

  • This man has casually forgotten more notes on a B3 Organ than most people will ever learn. Enough said!

    Dr. Harv

  • tony monaco is a fuckin legend!!!

  • Wish I could make my XK-3c talk like that!

  • I have an AB Hammond 1936 model and if I could make it sound like Tony I,m have 10 orgasms!

  • Love that Hammond B3, and the burnin man makes it sing !

  • fuck yeah!!!

  • Great Video Tony and lots of great playing! All my best, Mike

  • @felixrockss

    Give it to me.

  • I just had an organ

  • Poor people passing outside on the sidewalk and not knowing what they miss...

  • DAMN!! THATS SO RUDE!!!

  • This Trio is Outstanding!!! That Tony Monaco guy is something else! This guy not only plays with his hands but, with his face also! Watching him play, you can't help but feel the emotions behind it. Either your like aaaaarrrrhhhh!!! Yes! or your like BREATH MAN, BREATH your going to die if you don't BREATH!!!

  • wooow

  • WOW! This guy is as good as Graham Bond- blows my mind!

  • The man is awesome! I wish he'd tour out here on the West coast

  • In the UK as well awesome!

  • I like this guy here, he's very good, but.........to me Charles Earland is the God of the hammond B-3.

This groove is still tight and I still would stand up and dance all night to this, excellent job!

  • but hes in the top 5 most def...... hes up there wit joey, and jimmy... , mcduff too

  • You know I had the chance to break away and come back fresh and listen to this tune again, I must say that, you're right on the money, this guy is in the same class, he smokes that Hammond.

This tune is funky, soulful and groovey. How can you not Dance to this, one must be dead.

  • Simply put, this man swings his ass off...

  • Best of World!!! greatssss

  • Tony is great. But I think he would sound better with the Leslie on Chorale speed then Tremolo, instead of Stop and Tremolo. Great player none the less...

  • great!

it's so difficult to play the hammond, so respect (:

  • Great laid-back shuffle Mr Drummer Man.

  • Great!!!

  • that hammond just blows my mind..............superb!!

  • glorious playing ... wonderful

  • So, what's that site of tony, jazzguy is talking about?

  • I play mostly punk/alternative/ska but ever since I was little the sound of a B3 has been my favorite I've ever heard come out of any instrument, hands down. It's used in the blues and reggae/ska, which I grew up on. Definitely am going to check out more B3 artists!

  • Had to come and listen to this again for the upteenth time. I heard Tony play this at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis, Indiana. (Same guitarist who is very good also) I have been a fan of his ever since. Have his 6 CD's (autographed by him) and 2 of his Instructional DVD's. Will never be able to hold a candle to him, but I love the Hammond B3, GO TONY!!!!!

  • This is one of the best jazz tributes I've ever heard and Monaco is one of the most talented modern B3 jazz organists living. This music is so smooth for the ear to listen to. Jimmy Smith and other jazz and blues organists from the 50s and 60s will live on through Tony and other modern jazz organists.Joey DeFrancesco is another great jazz organist from today.

  • Odd video cuts and prolonged intro credits. Stick to the artist. No one cheers the credit setup.

Tony is too good to miss a frame with this rookie vid editing stuff. Thanks, though!

  • Tony..Thanks for "keeping it Alive"!! Me being an "old guy", I grew up with The Jimmy's (Smith and McGriff) and I've got to say You've got it DOWN brother!!!

     B3 Forever!!!

  • I saw Tony live with Pat Martino. The amazing thing about him is while he's playing a killer solo he still keeps the base line with his left hand.

Btw pat Martino is waaaaaaaaaaaay better than the guitarist here. By a far

  • this is killer!

  • Amazing! Simply amazing!

  • This is one of the best slow blues b3 solos out there. The drummer is so in the pocket.Just a great all around groove and feel.

  • there you goooo!!!! Tony

  • fuck a duck that was good

  • Tony...you have that old time feel...love it, man! -Bill

  • That's what I'm talkin about!!

  • awesome!!!!

  • HOLY CRAP! YOURE MY NEW HERO!

    Peace Clark

  • Hi Louie!

  • I just saw this dude live in Nashville, TN tonight (w/Chester Thompson on drums and Andy Reiss on guitar) at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. OUTRAGEOUS!! It can't be legal to play that fast! I was blown away. Tony would pick whatever song came to mind and they would JAM like it was the second coming of Christ. I'm in awe!

  • i love that modulation at 8:30

  • Tony Monaco is God.

  • My fav. part is when the top right draws get turned on with the

lesley 6:23 and the lead that follows I get goose bumps

  • whoa that one sustained note really gives me the chill man!

    Dr. Harv

Also, hats off to the guitar solo!!!

  • Who ever said that Tony is better than the original is a fool and bigot. How can one be better than the original. Don't get me wrong at present Tony Monaco is the baddest thing out there, 10x's better than Joey. Tony is the man, to those ignorant out there, please do not forget Jimmy McGriff is still on the seen, although gravely if he had to sit behind the B, he could Tony a few things too.

  • fuck me this is too dam fucking good

  • Fabulous. Tony Monaco is one of the baddest there is...seen him live many times. His "Ashleen" is out of this world.

  • fantastic,better than original

  • yes sir! that is smooth as butter and cool as ice, ive seen tony live at a little free park show....he is absolutly AMAZING live, if you ever have the chance to go see him, DO SO! great song. 5/5

  • Yummmmm

  • woww !!!!! that's really fantastic :D ..

    thanx jimmy smith

  • This guy is one of the very best. what a brilliant and heartfelt tribute to the great Jimmy Smith..... If I ever go to Americ, or Tony M comes over to the UK.... then i am gonna see this guy - cos he is awesome.

  • What a groove, the most laidback drumming without actually falling off the stool!

  • the guitar guy is Robert Kraut. He's a philosophy professor at OSU. see the trio every wednesday at the ravari room in columbus. great pizza too.

  • Tony Monaco - The Jimmy Smith of our day....

  • cool as man!

  • I loved it very much"thank you".

  • Tony and Louie have this "cable" connecting their heads together that keeps them not only in perfect sycnc. but enables these two to know what the other guy is going to do before he does it. MOST amazing thing. The Guitar guy is just awesome too. You people out there in tube land, if you ever get a chance to see these guys live, DO NOT MISS the chance. The show at Nightown, Cleveland with "Fathead" Newman was just AMAZING! and I mean AMAZING...

  • Thanks for keeping the Flame alive, when I saw Jimmy play the music flowed out of him like water, soft as a babys bottom and then so hard I thought the windows were going to shatter!

  • Man, very tasty and expressive guitar! Great organ groove! And the drummer is right there!! Have to catch you all the next time you come thru Michigan, for sho.

  • Say hell yeah! Nice.

  • Man oh Man, I cannot get enough of this guy! I am just about in tears, his music is so POWERFUL!!

  • its down the way it should be

  • Wow! I love the Musiciens and the productions

  • So so cooooool!

  • His solo says nothing to you but it says something to him. Give the gentlemen some credit. E.g, he's playing solo behind Tony Monaco, so he must be doing something right. I LOVE the bass at 2:34, I love the drummers Blues Swing. I'd be friggin honoured to watch them live.

  • i did give him Credit, said he did good back up with Tony, and that says alot.

  • Well that being said,Tony you T.C.B. Big Time, got to love it.

  • Hey man, have you every listened to Jimmy Smiths guitar player(s)? He plays totally in the style man, and if you look at him, especially if you were there at the taping, you would be able to tell thats all love and soul spilling out off his hands onto his guitar. Thats what makes a good musician.

  • your Guitar player backs you up well, but his solos say nothing.

  • I missed him at the Jazz kitch. when he was here but I see now I won't miss him again Mannnnn!!!! I see why his best music organ buddy is JoeyD!!! My Goodness!

  • I missed Tony at the Jazz Kitchen on Nov. 10 of this year. Did you make it Ezra?

  • Naw man, something always pops up the same time and I have to go play somewhere. I want to catch him and especially JoeyD again hopefully. Joey really inspires me big time reguardless of my great older church friends says' I wish I could set on a stool on 1 of their rehearsals by them and just smile!!!

  • These guys really play with great feel...very reminicent of Jimmy Smith and Kenny Burrell...

  • I keep coming back to listen to this!I love it when these guys switch to the "ballpark" sound towards the end of their solos. It just takes the intensity level way up. As far as living players,I think Tony,Joey D,Dr.Lonnie Smith, and Bill Heid are the best

  • Love it. Who needs TV when there's this standard available on YouTube? Not me anyway. It's totally brill!!!

  • Tony will be playing in Edinburgh, Scotland next weekend 24 & 25 September 06' at the Jazz Bar Chambers Street. Can't wait!...he is going to teach my B3 how to be a B3!!!!

  • Wow! That is a honor to have him play your B3. I would love to have someone good play mine anytime.

  • Wonderful tribute to the master from another Master of the B3. Thanks Tony for this video. It really moved me!! And thanks for all your GREAT music!! Hope you post more videos.

  • Jesus. I have never ever needed to wipe my eyes so much listening to an organ. That's the most incredible thing I have ever seen or heard in my life..This guy is now my guru

  • I've seen Tony play three or four times when I have visited Columbus. He was very nice and humble. Tony gave me great advise about playing the B3. I would like to see more of him on You Tube.
