  • such a fucking AWESOME song... one of my favs... love the bass line and the vocals esp. perfect.

  • I love that song.

  • 38 people don't know how to love.

  • hipsterism is soooo mainstream

  • i love finding great bands on youtube :)

  • You know, I've been into this band since like 2004 and I never even noticed that was Emily singing.

  • @McKarine Who?

  • This is kinda half and half hipster. It has about a million views, but it's owned by arts&crafts, which is a indie label. The only reason I don't like mainstream music is because major labels forces most of their musicians to sing songs the label wrote. Some artists tell the labels to fuck off or they'll drop the label, and those few artists who write their own songs are some of my favorites. Not to mention Stars kicks ass

  • @barackollama So true, it's the labels that kill a lot of good bands. Thats why hipsters can kinda get away with saying "oh I like them before they were signed" Other time's they are just drinking haterade. But this is just a tad too mainstream for them, Local natives is their kinda band lol XD

  • Porque eu nao sei como amar

  • It's depressing... Lol.

  • One of my favorite tracks of the oughts!

  • take me home!

  • Music is timeless, ageless. True music that is.

  • wow only 38 dislikes

  • how old is this band? anyone

  • @jmoran1994 Been around since 2000. Is the building in this video where I think it is, at Guy and Sherbrooke in Montreal? If so I live just a block up from it...

  • esta canción me parece a verla escuchado en alguna peli pero no recuerdo cual fue jejeje....esta buena la rolita :D

  • You put this up on my birthday:). Ha, my 11th birthday!

  • They are just themselves. Not hipster, the don' t try to be the same or different. They have my own philosophy of life. Just be you.

  • music for ants !!

  • It upsets me knowing I went all these years without knowing this band existed. But it makes me happy knowing I have an entire discography of new songs to enjoy.

  • Metric's facebook led me here. First time listening to it and I already love this song.

  • timeless..

  • This is the best song to listen to when you're on the road.

  • i think i like this song :)

  • Feels like Montreal.

  • My Fav song by them!!! thanks for the post

  • Aah! This bad has grown so much since November!

    <3 you stars

  • If you're watching this and you haven't read "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". Do.

  • This song is so not a hipster band, first off they are semi-mainstream so that cancels out the thought of it because hipsters are known for hating mainstream music including the stuff thats not played on the radio...enjoy the music XD

  • @AlchemicEchoes

Hipsters hating on other hipsters- Hipsters yah!

  • I have a sweet ' Love Letter '

  • 148 people said that half of the views on this video are from them.. I sense a disturbance in the force....O_o

  • Hipster band or not this song is the shit.

  • @WhiskeyTango12

    Hipster is a stupid word.

  • @just502 Yes, because it describes stupid ppl.

  • Cool people watch in 240p.

  • This song is insane live.

  • Brilliant song!! If you like this check out the song "Liquids playing misty games" by danish act INOUWEE

  • anyone else notice the brief flash of a note that says "are your problems really that big?" at 1:45?

  • @TheEverGLo yo its so weird ! i never notice it till you said some thing and its so quick its barely noticeable not even a 1/100 of a second, a hidden message . Crazy !

  • @TheEverGLo WHOA! How did you catch that???????? It took me a while but I finally paused it at the precise moment when it flashes. That's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back XD

  • @Laaalaaalaaaaaaa that's probably because the brief flash is on 1:46, not 45. :D

  • have a nice day:)

  • this is good, but "one more night" kicks this shit out of this.

  • This songs utterly destroys me every time I hear it.

  • sounds great, beautiful.

  • Ballen musiccc the shiz

  • escalator hate note.

  • if your enjoyment of a song is changed by how old it is... you might not "understand" music as well as you think.

  • @AlemanJuan Music should be timeless

  • @AlemanJuan true!!

  • @AlemanJuan

Real music is able to stand the test of time.

To go back and hear songs I jammed to when I was 13 years old.

    Timeless.

  • checked this band out from listening to radiohead pandora all the time, good find tho

  • Can someone PLEASE send me this song?

  • pretty good song, they a new band??

  • @youdragon Well considering this video is at least four years old...

  • this is awesome!!!

  • this is the shit !!! lovin' it, most plays on my ipod :)

  • When i hear this, i think, little big planet, has this group made music for the game? or is it just my mind playing tricks on me? (that song is cool too btw)

  • i dont know why but...always when im drunk i finish my nght wiht this song or maby i just start a new day?!?!(yeah im drunk)

  • I love the bass line in all of Stars' songs. So simple, nothing fancy. Just pure Stars sound. So smooth.

  • This song is great; took a second to grow on me but it's very nostalgic for me

  • This song could not get anymore perfect. I could listen to it for hours, over and over.

  • So I just pulled up youtube and then mucis just started playing and this was on the loop of music I had playing and I think I found my new fav for the week maybe even longer! I can't wait to share this music with my friends ! Love Stars! Great Music !!!

  • the flag button should be replaced as "REPLAY"

  • reminds me of metric

  • My best friend told me to listen to this band. I was skeptical...

Oh dear god, why was a skeptical??

    This is magic I hear.

  • I love this band, and this song just feels like me. Totally amazing. As everything else they do is.

  • stars are the best!!!!

  • this song is my most hear-song on my ipod.

  • 35 people don't have ears! :O

  • @bootlag123 I think they don't have eyes either. The videos pretty cool.

  • 35 people don't have ears! :O

  • hahahahha

  • SAW EM LIVE!!! =) MOST EPIC CONCERT OF LIFE! They had BUBBLEZ!!!

  • @LaxLune That was amazing! haha. I loved it during Wasted Daylight. :P which city did you see them in?

  • @svea123 I know! Wasted Daylight was AMAZING! I saw them in Winnipeg at the Burton Cummings! Perfect setting for Stars!!! =) Where did you get to see them?

  • @LaxLune Ha! I seen them there too! :P I was 5th row. So good. They were freaking AMAZING. AHH. I hope they come back.

  • @svea123 I was on the balcony! I wish we had been in front though! But my friends didnt wanna get trampled! To be honest I would GLADLY be trampled for Stars! =) This is one of those moments someone unfamiliar with the law of large numbers would call a coincidence! I hope they come back to!

  • @LaxLune We had seats! We didn't get trampled because the stupid security told us that we could only be from the first 3 or 4 rows to stand up. But people behind us were allowed to stand near them. it was stupid. But amazing! Asfodbnfsg. I wanna go back in time. Though I did catch one of the roses! Well, a few petals. One girl infront of me had 3 of them. :(

  • @svea123 AAAAH! We had NO chance of getting a rose! Twas quite saddening! I stilled had an awesome time though! I loved the bubbles! =D

  • This should be worth more than a million views!

  • Canadian music...you gotta love it.

  • @mypolicy9 Despite Jbeibz

  • "My office glows all night long. Its a nuclear show, and the stars are gone." That is such an epic line. I love it.

  • story of my life D:

  • whoever doesn't like this song is stupid!!!!!!!!!! so i guess there is like 39 really really really stupid people!!

  • This is genius. Pop music doesn't get much better than this!

  • It's weird.. I just finished reading Perks of Being a Wallflower and this was the first song I thought of. And the tunnel with the cars shown in the video is exactly how I pictured one of the scenes described in the book.

Still a great song after all this time I haven't heard it. :)

  • @hislove4ever7 That's amazing. I love that book and especially the scene with the quote "And in that moment I swear we were infinite."

And then this song is one of my favourites by Stars but this is my first time watching the music video. But the connections being made between the song and the video and the book... amazing.

  • This song is about drugs. no joke.

  • @gnome95 Most dreamy songs are about drugs. Aren't they not?

  • you know i think i've heard this on a movie trailer

this song gives me a deja vu sensation, pretty awsome

  • can't stop putting this song on repeat

  • this song is so fuckin nostalgic, i have goosebumps

  • I never get tired of this song.. <3

  • great song

  • That's funny -- who'd've thought a ukulele could sound sexy? (My understanding is that the Beatles fell into using guitars played backwards after John Lennon took home some rehearsal tapes to play with. He was well known for being technically inept, and he somehow got the tapes turned round backwards, and liked what he had stumbled into.)

  • Can anybody tell me what that squeeling type awesomely sexy sound is from 0:08 - 0:16?

  • @KatDoesVideo sounds like something being played backwards, although nowadays I'm sure they can do backwards sounding things forwards. For past examples, see (hear) Beatles, Rain or Tomorrow Never Knows

  • @kinggagkk I played it backwards and it kinda sounded like a ukulele type thing

  • @KatDoesVideo

    It's called a melodica

  • gREAT SONG , HEARD IT ON PANDORA AND FELL IN LOVE

  • @MyComputerStudios you can find some good music on pandora and last.fm :D

  • @carolynoify Amen to that!

  • @carolynoify That's actually how I discovered this song.

  • I take it out on my good friends....!

  • love ittttttt

  • I love Stars. They never fail to keep me hooked. LOVE LOVE LOVE them

  • Heee~ I love this song c:

  • the sound that goes from 0:08 to 0:016 is like freaking orgasmic

  • @KatDoesVideo I'm pretty sure that's a keyboard being played in reverse. Orgasmic.

  • I remember watching this on ZedTv first time i ever saw stars :D

    Shit i miss ZedTv :(

  • what a babe

  • I search so much for this song because I didn`t remember... But I found it!!!

    Really nice...

  • omg this song gives me chills, simply beautiful! proud to be canadian XD

  • wow, this band is really good! God bless youtube!

  • this song rocks, especially for canadians, no offense to any canadaians.

  • @AndyAzz25 LOL im canadian, and i have to agree...

  • @k0smikblog word, but Canada can hold it down as well as anybody else, they just don't get reconized enough. Like the indie hip hop group Swolen Members, those dudes make some damn good hip hop music, there just not popular in the U.S. but they had a lot big time radio play in Canda with the song "Lady Venum" check it out for all of you that like real hip hop.

  • @AndyAzz25 Swollen Members? C'mon you can think of better music than that shit. I mean their name is Swollen Members for christ sake. They blow.

  • @AndyAzz25 There's tons of amazing Canadian music.

  • @1Cereus If you have heard of Swollen Members, I am surer you know of ther good hip hop. I like a lot of different music so please message me if you know of any reggae, reggaetone, punk, ska, skacore, hardcore, metal, heavy metal, speed metal, rock, classic rock, strachin, turntabelism, oldies, blues, jazz, drum n bass, junngle, ambien, and classical.

  • @AndyAzz25

You meant only Canadian acts, correct? Recommend some artists for me, too (don't have to be Canadian).

The New Pornographers; Tegan and Sara; Arcade Fire; Godspeed You! Black Emperor; Thee Silver Mt. Zion; Trooper; The Tea Party; Rush; Sloan; Moxy Früvous; Metric; LIGHTS.

  • Terrachan, you seriously can't hear similarities in the vocal melodies, whoever wrote this song was definitely bingeing on a diet of smiths records!

  • @mrioh I see what you're getting at, but I mean, all songs that make heavy use of major thirds are similar to the Smiths, because that's their thing.

  • The melody sounds to me it was hijacked from the smiths tune "please let me get what I want".

  • Hardly, I really don't see where you get that. The two songs sound entirely different. However, The Antler's 'Two' sounds a bit similar to this.

  • I love this song, lyrics really resonate with me right now.

  • lovelovelove this song.

    filmed in montreal?

  • their music is great, but their vids are so trippy looking haha

  • This is my favorite song ever. I love Stars.

  • such a great tune.
