My piano is always crowded with sheet music, as I am usually playing a number of different pieces at any time. It can get confusing at times trying to find stuff. :(
Thank you so much for posting this! For someone who's trying to learn no. 21 (whose teacher disapproves of Chopin, and, I suspect, of the Romantic period in general) and so is listening to every recording under the sun of it, it's nice to hear it played slowly.
You're welcome; I am glad you liked the tempo I chose. :) I'm sorry to hear that your teacher doesn't like Chopin; Chopin is my favourite composer, and in many people's opinion, the best composer for the piano. That isn't to say he is 'everything'; all the other composers have their own particular charms, but since I am an emotional sort of person, the Romantic period & Chopin have great appeal for me.
Its not as much as how many mistakes, cause you don't make too many, but you got to work on your touch. I know the music your playing isn't too easy, but you sound like your a good sight reader playing the piece for the first time. Try memorizing the pieces you play. Then you will be able to refine your touch. You played the second prelude a whole lot better than the first.
Myself, I am happy enough with the touch for the most part; the last part of the piece contains more mistakes than I'd like. Post some vids of your own; I'll be happy to comment. :) I usually prefer to play with the music even when I do have a piece memorized.
Thanks! Not much I do is perfect alas. I usually make multiple attempts (over two dozen is not uncommon) with recordings, but I've found it hard to eliminate all errors. I try for something that sounds pleasant enough to me, even if there are some errors. Maybe someday I will be one of those pianists who do not make mistakes!
great job playing. i am a very emotional person as well and thats why chopin happens to be my favorite composer

Chopin has been my favourite composer ever since I first played a piece of his (a much simplified version of the waltz in A-Minor) many years ago.

Nice interpretation! The B-flat major is my one and only memorized Chopin Prelude. I love it!

Thank you! It's a unique piece only Chopin could have written. :)
