Hi, just a question. Some say that the Lunar observations are wrong because of the 50 day count during the feast of weeks, being impossible to keep with Lunar observations? Can you give me some feedback? Thanks.
Dio Casius wrote that the Romans consistently only attacked the Jews on the day named after Saturn. He noted "if they (the Jews) had continued defending it (the Temple) on all days alike, he (Pompey) could not have gotten possession of it. As it was, they made an exception of what are called the days of Saturn, and by doing no work on all those days afforded the Romans an opportunity in this interval to batter down the wall. "

Thank you so much for this corrections. The real reference is Proverbs 18:13. Somehow I got it mixed up. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention.
Besides all of this, the atnach and silluq were not part of the original text when the prophets wrote the Bible. These punctuation marks were invented and added by the Masoretes in about 900 AD, long after the Bible was written.
The "atnach" argument for Exodus 16:1 holds no water when used to try to prove that the fifteenth day of the month was the day the Israelites murmured rather than the day they arrived. It is completely invalid, and should be discarded. Please check this out for yourself. The fact is there is a more concrete barrier between "the fifteenth" and the next verse that says they murmured, it is a silluq, signifying the end of the verse.
In Exodus 16:1 the atnach is placed under the word Sinai (or Sin), the silluq is placed under the word Egypt. The atnach does not mean that the rest of the verse after the atnach belongs to the next verse (as is claimed by lunar sabbatarians). Look at Genesis 1:1. It says, "In the beginning God created [atnach] the heaven and the earth." Notice that the phrase "the heaven and the earth" has to belong to the first part of the verse.
Hello Melanie, Thank you for your comments. I would encourage you to look into the "atnach" argument some more regarding Exodus 16:1. It really does not prove what is claimed by lunar sabbath proponents. Let me explain: Most every verse in the Hebrew Bible is divided by an atnach, which is similar to a comma. The end of most every verse has a silluq, to signify the end of the verse. The sillug breaks up the thoughts more completely than the atnach.
In Numbers 10 verse 11, it mentions the twentieth day of the second month in the second year. Why claim they travel on the twenty second of the month. Please rectify this mistake as you are using it to prove the falsehood of the Sabbath being on the 22nd -- and you are misquoting the Bible.
A study of Exodus 16 in Hebrew language can prove that they did not arrive on the 15th but murmured on the 15th. These is an "atnah" after the word Sinai. Atnah is a period or a pause.

lunar Sabbath- following a new moon for Sabbath is utter confusion &
confusion is Not from our Creator Yahweh. Confusion `Is from ha satan.
Yahweh did Not tell us to follow every new moon to honor His Holy Day
Of Rest. He rested on`The 7th Day, & told us to Remember to do exactly
the same as He did.
(Deut. 12:32) Obey all the laws & teachings I am giving you.
Don't add any, and don't take any away.
