I am literally on my 17th time trying to beat him >_<

I beat him the 2nd time easily on the xbox version but I now have the PS3 one and just can't beat him, even with your stratergy, I can't gaurd all the time either. If only I had part level 4 xD

@nataliethenoodle omg i had the same problem! O: what always got me was that horizantal attack, it would alays knock me down and he'll finish me with his special attacks and i wouldnt be able to block.. but i managed to beat him xD i used salsa beat and viola. i had salsa use shadow siloutte and killed him with 2 full powered special attacks xD

I have started to use Salsa now but my Allegretto is level 21 and Salsa is 18 so I dunno :/

Just gotta keeo building up the echoes I guess, but like you said Tuba would use his special attack and it knocks a player out when he gets two turns in a row.

Took me 3 tries but I finally beat this guy, took me a little while to think of a decent strategy.

@MonkeyRitsu Haven't played this game in awhile but I just relied heavily on Viola. Made her stand as far away as possible from him and used her normal attacks to do heavy damage on him, it didn't take long before he died.

@fianle Actually, this video taught me 2 things that I never learned in the regular playthrough.

Party Level 6 is amazing.

Viola's long range arrow can be aimed.

I seriously did not know those two things. As soon as I tried those, I beat him. And Count Waltz. xD

@MonkeyRitsu Yeah, that aiming thing is the most important thing lol. Viola was basically my strongest character just by moving her as far as I can from the enemy and aiming those shots. Massive damage.

I'm level 23 and i can't beat that stupid ASSHOLE. does anyone know some tricks to deal with this enemy?? (or how to use more than one special-attack)

oh and btw why does beat wear different clothes?? o.O

and my grouplevel was 2, wasn't it...? x_X now i'm confused.

Im not sure if this is out in Aus on the PS3 :( i want it I had the 360 version but traded it towards Tales of Vesperia. Amazing Fight :P

as far as I know its out in all corners of the world :P

the thing is that it seems the game is rare now, so you kinda need some luck to find it (try buying it online)... or a close friend that has it and let you borrow it (my case lol)

I just RECENTLY got Eternal Sonata for the PS3, I love the new benefits that come with it.

I am just starting Encore mode now actually, and I love the japanese Voice option it gives you, seeings as I don't like Polkas English VA. Aya Hirano, FTW.

yeah, saddly only Polka, Retto and Beat got costumes.

Polka has 2 and both Retto and Beat have 1. There is an option in the menu that says "costumes" you change them there.

and here I was hoping for Falsetto, Claves, Viola and Serenade to get Swimsuit costumes :3

It doesn't look any harder than the 360's Encore mode tbh. I was worried the PS3 version would be too hard from what people were saying.

Also damn you're really good at counterattacking lol, I can never pull it off.

I like some of the new quotes, but some of the echoes sound different/weird (like Beat's Fire Blast), or maybe it's just me lol.

Tuba isn't really that hard, but the faster bosses like Dolce and Rondo are a pain in the ass, specially since its easy to screw up the guarding.

Yeah they added some quotes, and some aren't really that good (*cough*March and Falsetto got screwed up there IMO*cough*).

I have to thank Tuba for being so slow, thats the only reason I got to counter him a lot LOL

its because if you shoot violas arrows from a very distance the damage gets higher

I just finished this the other day, it disappointed me but you may enjoy it. Viola is stupidly powerful with her ranged attack, it gets more powerful the further away she is. By the end of the game she was doing 100k+ damage per turn while the others were doing around 20k-30k.

Beat Gets more damage from his gun the closer you get to him.

Viola's is the farther away she is.
