Battery 3 - Drum Articulation Tutorial

Hi it is possible to mount loops in the battery 3 or I have to use another program to record loops and battery have to be opened as a plug-in? If it is possible to do this? Thank you.

when i use the piano roll in fl studio, all of the instruments show up as random notes. is there a way to rename the notes to the type of instrument or at least have all of them be one after another?

I just got Battery 3 tonight and cannot for the life of me figure out how to take the individual samples and assign them to separate mixer tracks in FL Studio 10. I'm so used to drumaxx XD

You seem to be quite the battery expert. I'm using the DnB kit at the moment. For some very strange reason, when I try to change the cell channel all of the drums in the kit change to that chanel. Spent quite alot of time trying to fathom out why. Even loaded some other kits to make sure it wasn't a bug. Hope you can help. Much appreciation. Iain

PLEASE HELP!! i am using pro-tools 8 on a pc. i am trying to get a sound from these cells by itself so i can make a pattern and change the pitch at certain points. how do i get it by itself and not in the kit? thanks for any help.

i heard that you can make your drums sound like an MPC 60.How do i do that?

@MrDaZe5 Set the the Bit Reducer to 12-bit.  The MPC60 was 12-bit.

it requires a controller to use unless u whant to pencil in midi notes which is a bitch. there is no sequencer and it is a vst and it works with abunch or recording programs.

this program is the shit but you have to have proper controllers and host software beforehand.

@Darfaultner Use your sequencer to control it. It doesn't have a sequencer built-in.

@JRRShop Like Cubase? Is it a VST instrument? Can it be used with Propellerhead's Record? That program looks easy to use.

@Darfaultner it's a drum sampling plugin. You use a sequencer to lay out your drums, just like you would in any DAW.

@Darfaultner You need to open it in a sequencer such as cubase or cakewalk. It will work as a plug-in in it. Search for vst instruments tutorial on youtube.

I have cubase sx 3 but after installing battery 3 cubase wont boot up anymore,

its loading up until battery comes in n then it turn itself of again, anybody maybe kno y?

@DJOlSkoo That's strange, we've never seen that problem before. Go to the VSTplugins folder and remove the Battery.dll (don't delete, just put it on your desktop). If Cubase starts properly when that dll has been removed, it proves that Battery is indeed the problem; you'll need to contact NI directly in that case.

im trying to get the articulations to work nothings working . i can hear my sample playing and everything but the echo, humanization, and articulation isnt working. any ideas?

now that im playing around with it, i can only get it to work with their samples. i have my own drumkit loaded into there, i can get everything else to work like effects and such but not the articulation, really sucks because i like metal drumming blast beats and that articulation would be nice.

Damnnation....I have the same problem. Articulations only work with the NI drum kits. When I build my own kit with my own samples the articulations don't work. Any ideas if this is a 'known defect'?

I just found a workaround for the articulation problem. 1) Open a default NI kit e.g. the Pop Demo kit. 2) Manually replace the default samples with your own samples 3) Save the kit to another name. The articulations will now work with your new samples. I think the root cause of the original problem is incorrect set up of the 'VoiceGroup settings' but the workaround is not too much hassle for now.

to hear the whole drumkit.. build up a beat in cubase/logic... then drop a cycle and press play.

I mean... who uses battery without any program like logic?
