In the video, the mother is not wearing any therefore she slides and crushes the baby. If they were in the back seat (like a taxi) this would be the same as the wall between the passenger and driver would have the same result.

Mother and baby should not sharw the same belt either she the belt will crush the toddler.

It's true that an airbag won't rip a head of ta neck but something that can propell a wheel 10 meters into the air will snap the neck or do serious damage to face and throat. The fact that they develop in a split of a second show the velocity it has. That is because it has to be fully developed before the face hits it. I vagely remember one of the big three (probably GM) had late developing ones who snapped the dummys head in tests.

i live in leicester in the uk. and i see so many indian families with their cars so full of people that the kids have no seats of their own, so they got to sit on adult laps. why do they put kids in so much danger. this is not a racist comment or a 1 off. i see this every singl day on my way to work.

I agree.. I see it also, it scares me as these children have no voice and wouldnt be able to argue getting into that car. There was an accident not far from my home where a family car with 5 seats contained 8 passengers, 4 of them children.. only 1 survived. Says it all really doesnt it! I myself lost a daughter in a rear seat accident, where there was NO rear belts fitted.. SEAT BELTS SAVE LIVES.. PLEASE use them!
