i live in the u.k and i never knew about the sopranos, so over the summer holidays i watched all 6 seasons and i swear it is the greatest fucking channel ever. The Wire is great. It just lacks the characterization of The Sopranos. Biggest difference for me. I just feel so many people jumped on The Wire bandwagon because that of The Sopranos was already heavily loaded. Nothing wrong with that, it happens everyday, in every context imaginable. I'm just thankful for quality television that challenges my mind and beliefs. Both shows achieved that. I miss both.

I'll admit it's an good show but, I'm pretty sure everyone forgot at some point that these are people who kill for $. The scene in which Silvio (I think) is about to kill Adriana is disgusting. She never did anything wrong besides love that bastard Christopher who ABUSED her. He got what he deserved--they all did. It's a show that's only good when it's taken for what it is & these people aren't glorified for their actions. And don't bother defending them--they don't give a shit what you think.
