Wareham almost looks as though he's got a case of stage fright. I saw him interviewed on a show a few years back, and thought he was a pretty easy-going, and witty guy. Not sure what his problem on this video is. He definitely looks like he'd rather be someplace else.
There is a video of this tune on the 'Matchbook Cover' record...The album also has 'Alibi', 'New Haven Rocket' & 'Neon Lights', some of their best songs...This one looks lip-synched...Problem is: Why doesn't Wareham ever smile?...The songs are fun, doesn't he enjoy performing them?...His wife looks depressed, too...They're making a little money doing what they want, Wareham writes nice songs, hummable, but they look like they're being forced to do something they hate.
Wareham seem like he on anti-depressants or some such thing..Girl bass player good, but you can't hear it here...Drummer goo, too...Need lead guitar player: Wareham make Sterling Morrison look like Eddie Van Halen.
Love Luna! Saw them live in Vancouver on their last tour. People constantly shouting for California (All The Way) all over the place. I wanted to hear Tugboat. Wareham shot me a smile and said I must have him confused with someone else. Yeah right.
Saddest thing, when Dean married Britta. Now this most excellent band got dummied down. Saw Luna a few times in SF, great! Sorry to see them go...........
I searched for any sort of video of this ever since I saw it the first time when I was younger - I loved this song. Thanks for posting this. The sound is out of sync though. /=

The last time I saw Luna play a live concert, they opened with this song in Newport Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati. Good stuff.

What's funny is Krukoski (Galaxie 500 days) was a college roommate at Harvard. Just an oddity.
