There is no certain punishment for leaving the religion. The religion itself allows people to freely leave Islam if they wish to do so. Check out sura 65:4. It talks about divorce but how is it possible to divorce girls that are too young to menstruate, if they were NOT married at a VERY young age?

It says not to absorb an orphan's inheritance (as you would be their father) and to be mindful of God if you marry their mother. It refers to the subject that is being married as female but orphans can be male or female. In Classical Arabic, this is elementary knowledge and why all true Muslims are advised to learn Arabic to read the Qur'an.

The only thing the Qur'an mentions about the world being flat is that one day, God will flatten it to dust. There are actually many scientific references hidden in the Qur'an, many of which scientists didn't know until the middle of the 20th century.

@sirjambo Let me know when you have read the Qur'an and acknowledge that most hadiths are lies. The hadith is not needed to be Muslim. All hadiths were written over 100 years after Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) died so is it not possible they are all lies? And if all hadiths are lies, does it make the Qur'an untrue? Almost all things in Islam that oppress women are from the hadith. And the Qur'an says you are DAMNED if you bury a daughter. The Pagan arabs before Islam were the ones doing that.

All of the requirements of prayer, fasting, and Hajj are all in the Qur'an, Old Testament, and New Testament. What you speak is not truth so sorry...false teachings don't harm me...rather yourself. Peace.

Check out sura 65:4. It talks about divorce but how is it possible to divorce girls that are too young to menstruate, if they were NOT married at a VERY young age?

This is actually rather common, especially when food may be somewhat scarce. There are many various reasons that a woman would not menstrate and I'm sorry that you jump to the conclusion that it means that they are prepubescent.

@sirjambo I dismiss hadiths because they are not part of true Islam. Perhaps read the Qur'an again because it specifically says to never follow anything that goes against it, WHICH HADITHS DO! So I'm not being dishonest to myself, I'm adhering to the Qur'an. The Suras that you think are about marrying orphans is a mistranslation (probably intentional) and they are actually talking about marrying the orphan's mother. Being an orphan use to mean that you did not have BOTH of your parents.

@sirjambo If you read the Qur'an in Classical Arabic, you would know it was a mistranslation. It talks about the orphan and the orphan's mother. It says not to absorb an orphan's inheritance (as you would be their father) and to be mindful of God if you marry their mother. It refers to the subject that is being married as female but orphans can be male or female. In Classical Arabic, this is elementary knowledge and why all true Muslims are advised to learn Arabic to read the Qur'an.

Another issue is that if you have read the full Qur'an and are not just working off of cliff-notes, perhaps you should read the reformist translation which goes back to the original meanings of classical arabic words. @sirjambo For example, the sura that says to strike a woman. Strike was never used for that word until it was translated out of Arabic by a bunch of sexist sack of shit self-appointed "scholars". The legitimate meaning of the word is "to separate" or could also be "to scorn". The notion striking your wife contradicts everything else in the Qur'an. It is common sense that even a 10 year old could figure out if they read it but you seem to have the most difficult of times grasping this concept.

The only thing the Qur'an mentions about the world being flat is that one day, God will flatten it to dust. There are actually many scientific references hidden in the Qur'an, many of which scientists didn't know until the middle of the 20th century.

It says nothing about Sharia law in the Qur'an. It only says to dress modestly and also says the same thing for men. Many Muslim countries kill women for adultery because of Sharia law but it says to whip adulterers, not kill them. It also says to readily forgive them if they seek forgiveness and want to truly mend their wrongdoings.

She wanted me to divorce her based on the reason that She and I are not fit to be with each other. The imam mentioned that she were to return the dowry since there was no legimite reason for divorce. In Pakistan a women is not supposed to go out by herself without her husband only because that's what their culture tells them, not the teachings of Islam.

Im sure it talks about peace alot in the Qu'ran but as I last recall it Muhhamed called non-christians infidels and said "fight, fight, fight until all submit to the will of Allah" it also permits Muslims to raise hJihad against non-believers, kind of like this morning in Minsk. Not the kind of war that you think, Jihab is where you have stuggles in reaching the full potential spirtual self a muslim is excepted to be. Muhammed (PBUH) never said a thing like that. He was a man of peace and spreading the message of Islam. Had struggles himself as a muslim in Mecca, but was always kind and respectful even of those who treated him not so well. yeah i went to saudi recently and i saw a bunch of ninjas walking around,no driving,they make up 50% of the population yet only 5% of the workforce. they are segregated they cant choose who they marry,cant walk around alone,they walk around covered from head to toe when it 50 degrees out there,cant swim,cant socialise,eat in different rooms thn menin many cases they are married to men who allready have other wives and are 30 years older than them.should i go on?

@tjenk712 FYI this is why adoption (giving your name to someone not your offspring) is frowned upon by Muslims...(read about it)... Because Zaid was Mohammed's adopted son. Mohammed essentially told him to divorce her (or it was Allah's will again to keep Mohammed pecker happy) Regardless of the reason. Mohammed eventually married his son's wife. The "moralistic" explanation was that Zaid was only adopted NOT a true son, so it was ok. Islam frowns on adoption to this day as a result

And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them
