Custer's Revenge sold moderately well (thanks to the controversial press it garnered) until Mystique was pressured by consumer groups and Atari to remove it from the market. It's a novelty game in that it was never intended to be taken seriously. As a scholar of the '83 crash (you weren't even born yet, buddy), I can assure you there were larger catastrophes than this title to blame for it, not to mention the Commodore-led personal computer price war.
