Heathcliff is unusual in that he talks on TV but not in the comics. Tom & Jerry & the Pink Panther are the other way around. So is Snoopy. He doesn't actually talk either place but in the comics we read his thoughts & on TV we don't hear them, w/ the exception of Snoopy the Musical & You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Cartoons of the 80s and 90s were the best. Anyone else feel fortunate to have grown up in that time. A time when you could wake up before school and see cartoons on tv, then youd come home from school and each channel would show like 3 hours of cartoons. Fox had there line up, disney had theres and wb. And cartoons on Saturday mornings..

Now a days, if a kid comes home from school, nothing but judge shows,talk shows, are on tv. Unless you have cable, but not all kids parents can afford it.

Back then in the 80s,90s, its considered the GOLDEN ERA of animation. Shows like: Batman, Gargoyles, Spiderman, XMen, GI JOES, TRANSFORMERS, The Real Ghostbusters, Duck Tales, DarkWing Duck, MightyMax, Ninja Turtles, ThunderCats, Bobbysworld, Animaniacs,etc...

Eventually there will have to be a point where the quality is not effected by the technology changes and the issues surrounding that and quality will have to come full circle..

And also, we would watch Digimon.

I hate to disagree with you, as I like the LATE 80's (as it was the very beginning of cartoons slightly becoming better), but the 40's has the best cartoons ever made. Thanks to the late 80's, 90's cartoons were actually inspired to be creative, instead of being a commercial product promotion cartoon, such as He-Man, or Thunder Cats.
