Magic is either suppose to be performed in a restaurant,stage, or in some kind of Building.

not on the streets where people are busy and in a hurry.

when people are on the street there busy and doing what they want to do.

they dont have time to see a Card trick.

plus they think your a freak and a geek when you come up to them and say "hey you wanna see somethin?"

you'd be surprised that 4/5 people will say they'd like to see some magic.And you NEVER say "do you want to see somethin?" there are other appoaches which I'm not going to go over because you obviously don't think people aren't busy.There's sort of a phycology behind it when you pick your "mark"......walk up to some one that's just chillin and smoking,or just drinking a soda

.Last week I did street magic for some black guys and they went absolutely crazy-they would run 10 feet away while hooping and hollering and showing the card in their hands to even random people-it was a lot of fun and they realy loved it

plus Im the ONLY one out of my whole ring that does card tricks.

everyone else does silks,paper,etc

I'm not saying you're no good at card magic.But I would suggest that you also explore differt kinds of magic,like some stuff from Paul Harris(mostly cards)

and I think that you are actually scared to walk up to a complete stranger and possibly be turned down..a while a go I was too,but you get more confident and less nervous

I use to do street Magic.

and people would just look at you like "uhhhh wtf...who the hell are you and why are you talking to me?"

and when you get done showing them magic they think your a huge geek.

Im not nervous. got over that a long time ago.

well,perhaps you seriously walked up to them at the wrong time.David blaine tends to get people who are quickly walking a lot..it really doesn't happen that way.I did walk around at a carnival,and I showed magic to one guy who was smoking in a corner.

then a teenager walked up and watched.

then he brought his friends to ME 30 min. later.

I did magic for them and they called THEIR freinds over.

I later saw one of them and he asked to see more.Then 6 other guys came up and watched.

Magic is not about getting PAID. It is about amazing people and making them happy. We are entertainers, we make people think that there is more out there. And BTW, street magic is a great way to get new business if you hand out your business card a lot.

That guy seems to be one of the rising new stars.
