you should download Bebot. it's very fun and can actually serve as a musical instrument. then check out Ellatron. there are a few versions of this, i chose the cheaper Orchestron version because that's all i need. Hexatone is pricey but it's a pretty decent drum machine. it's also very very complex and takes a lot of practice. i'm still working with it. if you play guitar there is an app called guitarchords that's very usefull and educational. those are some good music apps

Why don't you drop the developers a mail?

They are helpful, they told me they are about to release an major update with new features (song mode/pattern arranging, file manager and more). I think this will make the app much more fun.
