I've tested these clubs out and they work really well. I was shocked at how much control I had with the club. My favorite club is still the Nike clubs they have more power than any other club I've used.
what are the differences from the mp52 performance wise? i hear that the 52s are a tiny bit more forgiving and feel less soft and the 57 is softer but a tiny bit less forgiving... what are the similarities/differences in your opinion?
i have the mp 57 and i found out that i didnt loose any distance with them. i found that i gained ball speed with them from my previous iron which where taylormade r7's. i love my mizuno's and the feel is unbelievable.
The ball flight is good, very good control and not to high. The flight is subject to your swing speed I swing my 6 iron around 85/90 mph. I was using a dynamic gold s300 shaft.
perfect, thank you very much for your reply. I swing my 6 iron around 95 - 100 mph, so will this mp57 work for my game?or will i get a too high ball flight?since i am also thinking about the mp 67or mp 62 according to your other review video.thx a lot.
Are the lofts on these the same? If the Yonex is stronger loft, that would explain the increase in ball speed. The ball is moving forward on the x-plane. It's entirely possible that Yonex 6 iron is the MP-57 5 iron, loft wise.
How are you explaining the difference in ball speed, otherwise? Titanium is "springier" than steel, but not at clubhead speeds as low as they are with a mid-iron. Chances are good that your clubhead speed increased with graphite.
Is it true that the mizuno mp's should only be played by single digit h'cappers? I'm off 16 and the guy in the golf shop said the mizuno mx series would be better for me. Is this true?
That would depend on what kind of 16 are you. If irons are your strength and you play off 16, then the MP 5X may be ok. The MPs are also better if you don't dig a lot.
@andy55055 Gotta disagree with you on that one.......Im a 14 handicap and wouldnt swap the mp 57s for the world.......I suppose it depends on the quality of ball striker you are.......there is no doubt that if you mishit these clubs you loose distance and direction, but they are not soley designed for single handicap golfers....
listen to the review, the shaft saves some weight but because of the construction of the nano speed cavity back, vs the mizuno "cavity" (it is more like a blade with a muscle back). cavity backs will give you more distance because the face is thinner, giving it more of a trampoline effect, whereas the mizuno will give you way more workability with the loss of a couple yards. it is basically a comparison between cavity back vs blade because mizuno's true cavity backs are in the mx series
can't decide between the MP57 and the MP58

Well that is a bit black and white, the MX range is aimed at your hcap player but the MP range if hit well performs like no other club.

it depends how you strike the ball, if it's your short game which lets you down primarily then you might be ok with the mizuno mp series

Why are the Mp 57s on average £200 cheaper than the Mp 52s?
DrGolfJam 2 years ago
More than likely because the 52's are new this year, where the 57's while they are not old by any means, have been on the market a little while.

Would you say...that the extra ball speed could in fact be due to the graphite shaft, juiced up lofts?
