  • Sounds a lot like asbestos to me

  • What is the mushroom that they use?

  • Why do you need the perlite. Perlite adds quite a bit to the embodied energy I imagine - mining costs etc. Is it for fire resistance only?

  • they don't grow spores to make insulation lol it's called mycelium, he says they grow spores at the first. holy mis information about mushrooms. you would think he'd know a bit more before they showed up.

  • @freakoutguitarsolo1 mycellium starts off as spores dude

  • @Adamantasauras i know how mycelium starts off. in order to get spores you have to grow the actual mushrooms and make a spore print. there's vids on here how to do that.

  • They demonstrated they could make a rigid board out of this stuff, that it is flame retardant, but not that it would insulate. What is the R-value rating of this stuff?

  • @LudMilton Well, LudMilton, that sounds like the statement I heard back in 2000, "The Internet is the CB Radio of our time"...

  • These guys are truly going places. Their invention could solve a lot of problems, most notably the giant man-made island of trash in the Pacific. Styrofoam is forever, but this stuff biodegrades. Brilliant!

  • i amtruly impressed by this, it is quite the invention, mushroom, who would've thought, and of course the gov't will be all over this NOT, but great invention, good luck with the wall,
