  • Thank God for the superb Canadians! Canada gave unflinching, stalwart support to Britain in both world wars. There is no doubt we would have been defeated without the Canucks support. Canadians fought bravely & with distinction in both conflicts, they set a superb example on Vimy Ridge in WW1. They fought in the Battle Of Britain, protected convoys in the Atlantic, fought in RAF Bomber Command, played a major role in the liberation of Western Europe. THANK YOU CANADA & HUGE RESPECT FROM BRITAIN!

  • You know what geekswag no one really cares what you think and if you really were from America which I don't doubt you aren't you would be calling the people who are trying to prevent you from stirring up things with other countries. I understand they started it but still to launch a full blown war against other countries ok then. All I'm trying to say is that everyone worked together to win a war not one or two countries.

Ps Canada is known for some of the most fierce warriors. And Pss I'm

  • @geekswag93 hahaha united states are big faget ass pussies that can't do shit. Canada will kick your ass and every country hates USA.united states can't do shit without there atom bombs If they didn't have those they'll get there asses kicked. Here this bitch Canada won ww1 and Canada and Russia won ww2 united states just joined to make themselves look useful.

  • @geekswag93 hahaha yeah right the united states are pussies and Canada can kick any countries ass by themselves

  • @MagiicDingo888 LMAO!!! that's a joke!

  • Canada wouldn't have been able to do crap without the US and Britain...so don't say dumb crap... Canada, for once, had the balls to fight for SOMETHING! but they wouldn't have done it without the world powers by their side...

  • @geekswag93 Canada was in both world war's before America, so don't say we can't do anything without America. America didn't even need to join WW2, Russia was already pushing to berlin. America joined very late into the war.

  • @sutton123454 we ended it. you can't even deny that! and I meant no disrespect to anyone who fought for justice in either of the world wars, including Canadian soldiers...I was commenting specifically on the comments of some Canadians who were acting like they were the shhh and like Canada won the war single-handed. Canadians are some of the cockiest people ever, and cannot figure out why?! Americans have nothing but respect for the countries who fought b4 us ESPECIALLY our big bro, Britain!

  • Operation Unthinkable: 'Russia: Threat to Western Civilization.'"

(more accurate -plan was made in June of 1945).

You may have interest in it.

The scanned text of operation was on history.neu.edu but it was erased. So it keeps now in rhe Russian resourses and help to understand the reasons of the Cold War.

  • Let's go, Canada!

All Nazis - to the hell!

  • Rest in Peace all soldiers who fought in ww2, you all are heros

  • my grandfather was in the SS, he dies 20 years back or so.

  • sorry can't just shove the link in just write in the search (Canada the fallen) its the first one, love it as it kicks your teeth in then some relaxing music for the rest. its the greatest tribute i found so far.

  • hey lintu25 this is my favorite one so far.

  • Is this your best ww2 movie?

    Its kinda shit, ladds :)

    No offence.

  • I'm Canadian so don't dare say anything mean to me,us

  • beautiful song, makes you think alot about the sacrifices they made for us....please take a moment of silence and remember those who have fallen and those who are fighting for our freedom....This Salute goes to you (L)

  • My Grandad was on Juno with the North Shore.

  • I'm from Quebec and if only we could forget all the bitching between us and the other Canadians I'd be happy. Not all Quebecers are separatists.

  • @metalrocks21rapsucks well you are the first non seperatist ie ever met that is from quebec

  • The majority of Quebecois are not separatists - if separatists were the majority Quebec would have separated long ago. In fact if you look at the demographics after the 1995 referendum most separatists inhabited only a portion of Quebec - the east. I can understand the general Quebecois distaste for the monarchy though. All things considered Quebec regiments have a long and proud history and were some of the most hard hitting Canadian soldiers. They fill my heart with pride.

  • @Number7smokesForEver if quebec becomes its own country, every other province to the right of it becomes a part of the US

  • @firestar9999

Quebec isn't going to separate and Canadian provinces sure as shit are not going to become US states.

  • @Number7smokesForEver lol they would have to get our permission for that and that sure as well would never fly! XP

  • @metalrocks21rapsucks I agree with you

  • @metalrocks21rapsucks Me and my friend a French Canadian make fun of each other all the time but were like brothers.

Some French Canadians maybe assholes but most are awesome :)

  • i fell srry for them

  • Comment removed

  • Their sacrifice will always be remembered. Only true heroes dont make it back. and for that im grateful to be a Canadian. We did our part for the better good of humanity.

  • Thank you for defending Hong Kong from the Japs. Although not successful, we Chinese never forget the help of our Canadian brothers.

  • @Chinaforever777 thanks for helping north korea also -.-

  • I salute and respect all soldiers equally Axis or Allies

but Canada I salute more then any other!

remember our fallen brothers! and remember our enemies as well!

  • Huge RESPECT & ADMIRATION to Canada from Britain! Canada supported us without any hesitation in both World Wars. Canada's role in WW2 was especially vital- Battle Of Britain, Battle Of The Atlantic, strategic bombing campaign, Normandy etc etc. You were always there for us! There is NO doubt, Britain could not have held the line without the mighty Canadians! Superb fighters by land, sea & air. The Canadians will NEVER be forgotten by British people who know their history. RESPECT!

  • hey thx for the nice complements on Canada but you seem to forget that the british helped allot to we wouldnt of gotten that far without youre help british helped allot too

  • No worries mate! As a Brit with a keen interest in WW1/2 history, and a military background, I think we owe a huge amount to the CW countries who backed us. Canada declared war on Germany the same day we did in Sept 39. The official line from the Candian government was, "WHERE BRITAIN GOES, CANADA WILL FOLLOW!" I find that both very humbling & really rather moving-given the knowledge that lives would be forfeited. We could not have a better ally-you were with us all the way from start to finish.

  • what a danm mess to get yourself in to

  • thanks for standing up with us canadians. and giving your life for freedom. im american and i thank you guys for your sacrifice

  • proud to be canadian we where the first special forces the black devils with the americans trained with every weapon in the war german, british, american, canadian you name it paratroopers, spys, assasins, survivalists, soldiers

  • the saxon steel ring, Usa. England, CAnada, Australia and new zeland and South Africa, always win

  • My grandfather and great-uncle both fought for Canada in WWII, both were injured but luckily survived the war.

  • @friuli1077 my great granpa fought for canada and survived

  • @friuli1077 Same here man. Mine landed on Juno Beach and fought to Germany.

  • they were the best soldiers the world ever known! They are one of the reasons that make me proud to be Canadian! Good video!

  • @crusader1096 AMEN

  • @crusader1096 It makes me happy to see you saying your a proud Canadian. I myself am a ninth generation Canadian!! Canadian love!

  • @TheCapone13

"The best battles" are on the ice-hockey and other fields.

My father was the gunner of the IL-2 in WWII and liked football and ice-hockey very much.

  • @Kz2372 yeah, my grampa was with the royal canadian airforce and flew combat missions over france, belgium, and germany in his mosquito fighter/bomber

  • @101andrewj

Your granpa was the warrior of the "right war" (there were many "the wriong wars" since it). It is called "The Sacred War" in Russia (or the Great Patriotic War).

The Canadian troops fought in Belgium and their operations stopped the rocket attacks (V-2) against London, Paris and Antwerp.

  • @Kz2372 i know, canada just went to europe to defeat the nazis and bring liberty and peace to the region... we didnt steal any scientists, or try and set up permanent military bases, or influence foriegn politics, we just defeated evil and went home... i have studied world war 1 and 2 in depth and canada deffently did very good... there wer some fuckups, but it was world war, and i think canada and australia held composure best and deffently wer serious powerhouses for small colonie nations

  • @101andrewj

"we didnt steal any scientists, or try and set up permanent military bases, or influence foriegn politics" - it's true in case of Canada but not USA. And the operation "Unthinkable" was planned by the Allied command (British General staff planned war against the USSR... in spring of 1945) and USA had A-bombs and its staffs had some plans to use this weapon before 1949 (the first Soviet A-bomb).

I think without Hirosima, Nagasaki, "Fulton's speech" history may be another.

  • i know USA did all sorts of stupid shit at the end of world war 2, like giving a free pass to high ranking nazi war criminals for information on building rockets. or giving those jap basterds at unit 731 a pardon in exchange for some of the most evil research ever conducted. but as far as i know, the USA used all their abombs on japan, it would have taken atleast 6 months to construct another 1 or 2 for use, and in that time, with russia completly mobilized for total war, they could have lost

  • @101andrewj

Your answer is close to my thinking about the postwar events.

I made "tube" "Let's rememeber Canada!" about Canadians in WWII in its contest. What's your opinion?

(The Russian group sing the hit of 1945 - "The Bomber", it was very popular)

There are many problems in the world but (Neo)Nazism couldn't resolve any. Who knows history better must talk about its lessons.

As for the Unthinkable operation one thought more ... and ordered to hide this plan. We can thank him.

  • i am proud to be Canadian...because of these brave soldiers not just in this war but other wars kept freedom safe not just for Canadians but for the other nations we liberated...may these soldiers of our country forever keep and defend freedom... for the war now and the wars in the future...God Bless Canada

  • The Dutch will never forget.

    Thank You

  • My dad and uncle both served in the war, uncle Grant was a Lancaster bomber navigator and my dad a lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Engineers. I'm glad they survived the war and also glad that the lost lives are not forgotten.
