yeah .. Ms.Win Min Than is half German and half Burmese :) It seems she's still alive and staying in abroad now ( either U.S or Australia ). This movie was shot in Ceylon ( Sri Lanka) .

I think the music to this great movie is absolutely beautiful.I also think everyone should try and see this film,much more than an unusual romance.

The film has much to do with human dignity,and how human kind,at least some of us,are capable to deal with an emergency situation (being shot down by the Japanese,and then make it back to your own troops,over The Purle Plain).Great sttuff!
