the twist on the launch was not chassis flex, twist or anything else regarding to the chassis, it was all suspension. which would lead one to believe that an adjustment would be in order but due to the times the car was running and how quickly the rear end corrected i am inclined to say that someone did a lot of tuning to get that car to go straight down the track.

couldnt have explained it much better then that! Chassis flex isnt a bad thing. That car is probably running close to 1,200RWHP and around 900lbs @ 35+ PSI Boost. Cant tell if Twin Turboed or just a single but damn man even after correcting itself it still went straight down the track even after the massive chassis flex.

the real reason behind that flex is the massive amount of torque being transferred through the car during launch. so when you combine the fact that the 2JZ is an inline 6 engine with the fact that its running a massive amount of boost you get huge amounts of Torque steer. when the slicks hook up after the clutch is dropped the power has to go somewhere whether it be the chassis, the suspension or forward momentum. in the case of this car (tube chassis) the suspension was what deflected.

Lol. The fact that the celica's chassis torqued that certain way, meanas that it needs work. Most people offset one side to compensate, so that the torque and kinetic energy is evenly distributed. The Camaro still could have broken someting, but felt that the car still could run, so he ran it so he wouldn't feel like an embarassment.

I highly doubt that this car needs work bro. 8.97 down the quarter mile. This car is mostly likely running in the upwards of 1000whp and the camaro didnt break anything, the launch is what fucked him up. I wouldnt be stupid and run a car that is broken wide open unless i had a death wish at 150+ mph. I have seen many cars even V8's Torque off the line like that and they are built and running just fine. I am sure this car needs no work cause its still running these times till this day.
