Would you like to know who the right and honorable gentleman is who impersonated Mr. Partee. None other than L. Ron Hubbard!! This debate was set up, not for LRH to oppose the gold standard, but to give the argument that a member of the FR Board of Governors would give, were one to give an argument against the people. LRH's performance is brilliantly executed. He sides with us, not against us. LRH committed a great act of heroic courage. His appearance is altered but not his identifiable voice.
The cheer squad fore the gold standard shoudl actually listen to soewm of the points made by the poor (yes he doesn't speak too well, but he did have some points)
1. the use (and abuse) of paper money started in the private sector (as did fractional reserve banking which may be also something you dislike).
2. the rate of increase in gold supply does not keep pace with inflation and production - this is not a trival problem
@macroman52 1) Yes, perhaps that should be outlawed. 2) There is no inflation with a proper gold standard? (unless new gold comes into the market of course)
@RKAddict101 On both those points the private sector (not government) acted over the 18th and 19th centuries to mitigate the bad effects on business of the gold standard. Lack of money, deflation, was the main problem the business sector saw. So private business developed credit instruments to overcome the problem. The gold standard and banning fractional reserve banking is NOT free market, it requries heavy-handed control by the state (which is OK with me if that is what you want).
@macroman52 My bad, I agree, the gold standard should be a free standard (people are free to choose whatever standard they want) and fractional reserve banking should be known (aka people need to know if they are entering into a fractional reserve banking system).
The reason RP never pauses and says uhh ummm uhhh well ummm is he writes his own speeches and doesnt read what other people want him to say, and this guys monotone makes me sleepy anyone else?
I thought the Bretton-Woods gold standard was only good for backing the US govt debt internationally, not for backing Federal Reserve notes domestically (after FDR's confiscation in 1933). Am I wrong on that?
Partee is truly a debate genius . With his 'uuh 'technique, he had practically hypnotized the entire audience, or put them into asleep....I don't think people could remember what the debate was about afterward...what a way to neutralize the threat
this guys public speaking skills are hilarious. this speech should be turned into a drinking game. the goal is to UHH create a monetary UHH system where UHH...UHH...UHH A-CHOO!!
Sock puppets have uh problems uh to uh uh uh speak uh very uh well uh uh to uh uh to understand uh uh you uh must uh understand uh that uh uh h fu@k it.
This Fed lacky seems like he's having a siezure. He is really a horrible speaker. I almost feel bad for the guy, if he wasn't promoting the cause of all our Countries problems.
I wonder where we would be now, if we'd listened to Ron Paul 25 years ago. Dr. Paul is America's answer if it's not too late already. However, evidently there are an awful lot of American's that can't see beyound, race, gender, or lipstick. Idiots!
The governor says we need a money supply that expands gradually and then adds that gold would expand gradually due to production and need, plus silver would augment the supply as well. He sounds like he's nullifying his own argument.
Jesus Christ the Governor said "uh" about a hundred times in his first a minute on the mic. Uh uh uhhh uh uhh I'm a uh uhh uh big bloated balloon freak.
tolerance was different in the past. the days before you had the ability to critique yourself.
I guess he had to feel the beat like a rapper tryin to jump off into the rhyme. oh uh yeah um yeah um a....ain't nothin' wrong with the notion i leave emotion locomotion uh uh oh lemme try that again...LOL Uh uh uh....LOL
OMG, what a crock. This guy is a FED genius. Those uh, uh hUHHHH UH's are intentional. I had to go back threee times and listened and really focus to hear him, that is done intentionally to confuse people. Made me sick, im watching it all. Put this in your favorites.
I didn't realize the Federal Reserve was a "State" unto itself. Where can I find this state on the map? How does one become a citizen of the Federal Reserve-state? Do they allow illegals to have drivers licenses?
Silly people. Read the US Constitution, and the parts you claim, before posting this nonsense.
OMG, what a crock. This guy is a FED genius. Those uh, uh hUHHHH UH's are intentional. I had to go back threee times and listened and really focus to hear him, that is done intentionally to confuse people. Made me sick, im watching it all. Put this in your favorites.
I really like what this guy says and probably will vote for him, but I still like the old addage "politicians are like diapers... they need changed and often" If he has a real shot and is serious, he will be sabotaged by mainstream media. Lets hope he can make it.
No one knows. Congress has not done an audit. People suspect that the shareholders of the FED took it. But we don't know who the shareholders are either, because that hasn't been audited either. We do know who the original 1913 shareholders were though: Rothschild, Rockefeller, JP Morgan, Jacob Schiff and a few others. The Rothschild apparently inter-marry and therefore still are probably major shareholders along with the Rockefellers who own stock through JP Morgan Chase.
check the Federal Reserves website, they revise there balance sheet each week. According to that they have $11 billion worth of gold. As for the shareholders, information is on the 12 different websites of the regional districts. E.g from Connecticut there is: BANKERS BANK NORTHEAST,-CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK, THE-CONNECTICUT BANK & TRUST COMPANY, THE- and many more...
L RON HUBBARD? Is that you posing as Governor Partee? What, then, are the implications of this video? Was Hubbard living a double life as a true governor of the Federal Reserve where he could rob the bank to give Scietology a kick start or was he debating Ron Paul as a spoof. If there was anyone who had the knowledge and skill to pull off such a coup it would be L RON HUBBARD.
Okay, obviously the governor is not a public speaker. Although I did imagine Samuel L. Jackson walking in with an afro and a gun and saying "Say Uh one more time MFer!" :P
The only thing that Ron Paul has been wrong on is the Gold Standard. 3/4 of the gold in the world is owned by the same people that run the Federal Reserve and therefore the world's money supply.
But this WAS in 1983. The only money system that worked was during Lincoln's tenure and it was a totally Fiat currency and not backed by anything. The key is that the government has control over its own currency. It doesn't matter if the the currency is backed by any natural substance or not.
The Governor is none other than that old rascal himself, L RON HUBBARD. Mr. Partee indeed! Listen to his eloquent manner of presenting his case, his gentlemanly way of speaking, his meandering through the facts, his complex use of language, his unique vocal patterns are without a doubt L RON HUBBARD. The "uh" is for affect while he explains precisely how the FR is screwing you down the damn hole.
Paul is 'hard to follow' because he speaks the truth. The 'abuse' w/paper money in the private sector wasn't from the people, the banker's were/still are the ones abusing fractional reserve lending causing the problem. Unless the 'people' counterfited money (like bankers do) and we all know there are more banks issueing money out of nothing than there are counterfiters trying to print bills.
This guy clearly knows a lot of things, so I listened, but it was grueling. I think it's true that the discovery of new gold can't be trusted to match the increase of population and production. That being said, the Gold Standard still sounds nicer than the ability to inflate one's own economy to allow overspending at the expense of the people. It's a very complex situation.
Wow that stuffy shirt put me to sleep. I think RP is the only politician I don't despise. If I could vote he'd have mine. Unfortunately there's too much special interest in the status quo that we won't see any change in this life time.
I think the comment of the Federal Reserve Chairman on our inability to operate within our means says it all really...rather than let the booms and busts happen as they would and let people suffer for the inability to operate within budgets they must "meddle" with the supply & demand of "money"...with the consequences of those with assets becoming richer and those without getting poorer.
As America wakes to the reality of how we have been manipulated by the banksters for generations-it's just possible that we will have had enough, put the banksters down and hand a new world to the coming generations.
Partee rails on the "abuse of paper money by the private sector" when the Federal Reserve _IS_ part of the private sector and REFUSES to submit to audits or inquiry from the government or the people?!?
Great Video! Ron Paul knew way back then what our own policies were going to do to our country! We have bankrupted ourselves, we owe billions to China, we're not safe, the dollar is worth crap, our government is wasting and stealing trillions & our freedoms are staring to be taken away.
