  • @reded8552 - No, it doesn't. Your brain is just dormant in the areas that would otherwise be easily activated and grant you an advantage that most people are robbed or "handicapped" of. There are so many advantages to reading that words don't even do it justice... it's something you would have to experience to understand. A movie can NEVER replace watching a mental "movie" in your mind/heart. Television is too fast paced, and made to sustain your interest you're not in control. A book stimulates

  • Very nice, very well explained why we should read. The last book ive read was 'Of mice and men' John Stienbeck. many many years ago. And now, i just finished 'The Hobbit', i recommend that book. an amazing story and journey. next im gonna read 'The Lord of the Rings'.
