I disagree. About the degree of her failure, that is! Without doubt Laverne didn't possess the charisma or vocal abilities of Debbie Harry but as a songwriter she's under-rated. Her songs may not have had the mass-appeal of Blondie's confections but they're every bit as good in terms of structure and content. I'd say they're bolder too.

(1) i don't really see the point of comparing a band like the beatles with a band like kenickie. nothing can be gained from that kind of comparison. i actually DO prefer kenickie to the beatles, but that's just me.

(2) I was listening to At The Club again recently and it is truly beautiful. it's such a shame it all fell apart the way it did.
