Well, I acquired a Babaji calendar with large pictures of him in various scenes (a lot of them included in this video). He has an indescribable "something" about him, one might call it magnetism or charisma. According to Babaji mythology, he materialized out of thin air in a Himalayan cave for his most recent incarnation! What can one's logical mind make of this?

Some books about Babaji contain a picture of him from an earlier life that has nothing to do with Yogananda. There was also some claim on the land from that earlier life, where he brought up all the details of that earlier life. In this last incarnation, he mentioned at times that he was looking for specific disciples who were with him in earlier incarnations.
He wasn't that specific about any connection with Yogananda. There is only a story about a couple who read Yogananda's book and went to the place where Babaji from Yogananda's book was - and had there certain supernatural experience. When these people many years later came to see this Babaji, he told them the same words as that Babaji - to them it proved that he was the same Babaji - then again, he did have certain abilities, like to know past and future and to read people's minds.

the only way a man can call himself greate then another is if he is talking about the level of consciousness, at the core one is god but does not realize this because his waking consciousness is not one with God, so if a holy man says he is greater then you or says krishna is greater then him, he is talking about the level of waking conciousness. Samadhi only makes the waking consciousness pure, making it so strong to the point where the "animal" the yogis fight to free themselves isrly weakend
Actually avatars do have great power. Nevertheless they act in response to commands from god, which arise from our prayers to him. So a guru is in many ways our servant.

i did some research and maybe this pics are the real babaji, i was told that he is like the dalai lama, so he reincarnates every once in a while. but the soul is the same until eternity. (but he aint no religion cult or sect) dont take his message wrong.
I was in a British train station last year and had no money. After painting Babaji on Canvas I had done some A4 portraits of Him to give out on my travels around the UK. I went into the train station and asked if I could speak with the manager on duty. I showed him an A4 portrait & asked if he would swap it for a train ticket to Bristol. He passed me a ticket and then took the painting around to show all the staff on duty! Imagine if everyone had to exchange spiritual art for tickets 2 travel:)
I don't know the name of the song but it's a track from the cd 'The Yoga of Sound from Russill Paul', great sound. Babaji became well known through visits to his ashram in the eighties by Leonard Orr.
No question that this man is good. But he is not the immortal hariakhan baba. Since he was a boy priest and pundits used him to bring people to the foothills where he was from. Babaji was seen for a long time in the same physical form and in the 30's was seen disappearing into the kali river. Since then he comes in visions to those he chooses. He never physically died like christ did, to rise again. A good read about him is Hariakhan baba known and unknown by baba hari dass.
Whenever I heard of Babaji, I thought of him as living a long long time ago, far removed from my time frame on earth... and just recently found out that this is him. He left his body a year before I was born, but as soon as I saw his face, I felt an instant deep connection with him, and his teachings.

there is a differing of thought on this babaji,i think it is the same as biography of a yogi,as meny people i have met have told me,and being to his ashram in the same place as the old babaji seem's to suggest it is(the state of utter pradesh do not contest his claim to the ashram?).

babaji is a beautiful name but i hope he has a computer and reads what i am typing. these are all just stories and i dont believe any of the photograph is the truth. if i am wrong and he does exist and i would like to say "please dont waste ur life sitting in cold and gaining supernatural powers instead enter the world and help others because many people seriously need your help. not just materially but spiritually(enlightenement: he definitely know what i mean.

The best way to seek the truth is first by your six sense but not blindly. If not even via meditation is also a good place to start, other way is knowing the truth intuitively. Did the Babaji here leave the body? Somehow I thought he had. Mahavatar Babaji has committed to staying IN THE PHYSICAL BODY until this world cycle is over. According to Yogananda, He was also meant to be a "hidden" avatar...with a small band of disciples in the Himalayas...not nearly so public or "talkative' as the one here.
Perhaps you should read Autobiography of a Yogi and come to your own conclusions. I have been a very serious meditator for 37 years...several hours daily of recent times...and intuitively I get a "no". Only your own heart can really answer this question for you...through deep meditation and intuition. Good Luck!!

i did some research and maybe this pics are the real babaji, i was told that he is like the dalai lama, so he reincarnates every once in a while. but the soul is the same until eternity. (but he aint no religion cult or sect) dont take his message wrong.

I was in a British train station last year and had no money. After painting Babaji on Canvas I had done some A4 portraits of Him to give out on my travels around the UK. I went into the train station and asked if I could speak with the manager on duty. I showed him an A4 portrait & asked if he would swap it for a train ticket to Bristol. He passed me a ticket and then took the painting around to show all the staff on duty! Imagine if everyone had to exchange spiritual art for tickets 2 travel:)

No question that this man is good. But he is not the immortal hariakhan baba. Since he was a boy priest and pundits used him to bring people to the foothills where he was from. Babaji was seen for a long time in the same physical form and in the 30's was seen disappearing into the kali river. Since then he comes in visions to those he chooses. He never physically died like christ did, to rise again. A good read about him is Hariakhan baba known and unknown by baba hari dass.

Whenever I heard of Babaji, I thought of him as living a long long time ago, far removed from my time frame on earth... and just recently found out that this is him. He left his body a year before I was born, but as soon as I saw his face, I felt an instant deep connection with him, and his teachings.

there is a differing of thought on this babaji,i think it is the same as biography of a yogi,as meny people i have met have told me,and being to his ashram in the same place as the old babaji seem's to suggest it is(the state of utter pradesh do not contest his claim to the ashram?).

babaji is a beautiful name but i hope he has a computer and reads what i am typing. these are all just stories and i dont believe any of the photograph is the truth. if i am wrong and he does exist and i would like to say "please dont waste ur life sitting in cold and gaining supernatural powers instead enter the world and help others because many people seriously need your help. not just materially but spiritually(enlightenement: he definitely know what i mean.

please don't mistake me and I am not against babaji if that is what u meant. If me being naive is what u really meant than every soul should really feel sorry for you and please don't encourage other people to do the same. The best way to seek the truth is first by your six sense but not blindly. If not even via meditation is also a good place to start, other way is knowing the truth intuitively. But blindly is body and mind suicide(not soul) and waste of time too.

nobody fooled mother india(ur videos) and she would have been wise and mighty if she accepted krishna in totality.I respect saints and gurus and people should know the limit and stop fantasizing. how do you know its "one video"? The point is finding your True Guru.

Did the Babaji here leave the body? Somehow I thought he had. Mahavatar Babaji has committed to staying IN THE PHYSICAL BODY until this world cycle is over. According to Yogananda, He was also meant to be a "hidden" avatar...with a small band of disciples in the Himalayas...not nearly so public or "talkative' as the one here.

Perhaps you should read Autobiography of a Yogi and come to your own conclusions. I have been a very serious meditator for 37 years...several hours daily of recent times...and intuitively I get a "no". Only your own heart can really answer this question for you...through deep meditation and intuition. Good Luck!!
