  • une voix douce et superbe j'adore

  • Repeated personal attacks aimed at one particular artist is nothing but pathological manipulation of other viewers mind. Mind control/brainwashing. The worst and most

dangerous human behavior-according to my psychiatrist friend. Viewers continuously

increasing despite of the messy posting/spam flags. Encouraging to see that true beauty

conquer the intention of manipulator or two.

  • @SKNinHawaii Dear ,still take a cold shower! PROMOTION is the manipulation , brainwashing and mind control! You take things out of proportion! It's YT, where LISTENERS are supposed to express their OPINIONS about ANY artist! If you like it or not, there's no artist in the world whom absolutely EVERYONE adores! If you are obsessed with PJ and just want to silence those who express that he is just a POP FALSETTIST,and not a CT shows how narrow-minded YOU are!You want to PRETEND everyone loves PJ!LOL

  • @adalgisa5510 I don't know the other countertenor's case, I see large spread of age amongst audiences at PhJ's concerts. Bowman, Michale Chance may ignore "ladies of certain age" who makes up the core audience but PhJ does not. He is always sincere, courteous and appreciative. Any singers who are arrogant and has little appreciation for the fans and audience are bound to show in their artistic expressions.

  • This man is a true virtuoso. In this genre of music, it doesn't get any better than this. What a gift!

  • avout these microphones : saw him yesterday at the Berliner Philarmonie, no microphone. He has the vocal power to fill a hall, even behind him we could still understand nearly each word. partly due to, I must admit, the great room in itself.

The concert was marvellous, and he truly is a fantastic, and very sympathetic singer .

  • what a masterful singing

  • What is there to say? I cried. What a voice, angelic sound incarnated in flesh.

  • Is this man married? No? GOOD. >:D He's mine... heh heh >w< Gawd his voice is beautiful and he's certainly just as beautiful to look at while he sings. *le sigh* I wish every man could sing with a voice so soft, smooth, and clear.

  • So I'm a primitive old granny who can't tell serious art from pop... :D

  • This CD has just been nominated (as one of three) for best recording for "Les Victoires de la Musique Classique 2012" in France. Congratulations, and fingers crossed!

Great to know that the French musicians, artists and critics have such excellent discernment and taste!

  • @CaraPhilos Great news !! I have not heard such a beautiful Faure "Requiem" since

the Cluytens/De Los Angeles/Fischer-Dieskau. Finally we have one which deservedly can replace my worn-out LP by Cluytens !! Let's all wish it will receive the honor !! This CD is so well cast that not only PhJ is the shining star here but the baritone part is sung by German baritone who is considered as the successor of Fischer-Dieskau,

Matthias Goerne What a dream cast !!

  • My mother always told me that if I could not think of anything nice to say about somebody it was best not to say anything at all.

Freedom of expression is fine, but not hurting someones feelings is important too.

  • Let Beauty be Beauty--all else is waste and futility. God bless this man and his gift!

  • 15 people like Justin Bieber.

  • @OedipusTyrannus I agree 100% with you. Obsessed, PhJ hater who believes she/he

is the only human who knows how the CT should be singing and posting hate-comment on the PhJ's major sites is simply sick and obsessed. I know which singers I like and dislike but like you, I don't go around posting how badly they sing. Her obsession to hate and attack Jaroussky went out of control here. Jaroussky is the most loved and successful CT in our time which we all know.

  • Stunning. Simply stunning!!!

  • If I'd read your comments here first, I'd wanted to hear the music even more. There's much controversy here, so it must be at least impressive. I love impressive art. It is not important at all if it's beautiful. Beauty is only one colour on your emotional pallet.

PJ is a monument. He can make you love, he can make you cry, he can make you hate him or laugh. If you like that, you will not be disappointed. He can chase you all around your emotional spectrum, if you let him. If not, why bother?

  • @ewoutvm1 Well said!

  • pure beauty.

  • Why are people here feeding the troll "serenaluce"/"Arpeggio" again by answering, wasting your precious life time reading complete nonsense? Just give them the thumbs down, and their idiocies will silently disappear.

  • I found this to be exceptionally beautiful!

  • listen to the voice with the sound do u feel the presence of god try it

  • Why a countertenor? female voice is prettier and the way Fauré wanted it.

l should admit a boy voice may be...

  • @18aaronjames Mamma mia, how badly you are explaining your feelings

l am not going to answer to such coarseness. How poor you are and not able to listen to this wonderful countertenor, you cannot understand, with this dirty mind. By the way Faure wrote , soprano...... did you knew him maybe ?Or may be you cannot read....

  • This is simply sublime ( sublime : "of such excellence, grandeur, and beauty as to inspire great admiration or awe"). Thank you very much !

  • most pure voice Ive ever heard....

  • Lo he escuchado 15 veces seguidas y no puedo dejar de hacer clic en "replay".

  • You;re a Countertenor!!!!!

  • Awesome voice!

  • Wow...

    More than beautiful!

    Goosebumbs all over...

  • Absolutely BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!

  • Hi everyone. It's useless arguing with a certain user here, because “PREJUDICE, not being founded on reason, cannot be removed by argument”. And while you THINK that you are defending Philippe, IN FACT you are only feeding a troll. I thank you for thinking twice before you respond to certain comments.

  • @serenaluce "No, democratic society can function without opposition." As if Jaroussky were on the brink of being elected to political office and Serenaluce was leading the campaign of his political rival. If her idol Nicholas Spanos is following this he's probably getting a good, but rather embarrassed, giggle out of it all.

  • So...it is agreed upon that the only thing that matters for a singer is the sound of his voice? Than any criticism should also revolve around his voice. That is fair.

Not his looks, not his image, not his hobbies, not his behaviour, not his promotion, not his extracurricular activities. Just his voice. The sound of it, the quality, the technique, the emotion, the expression.

  • Aha, people are wasting their time with the troll "serenaluce" still. I am sure you would have much better things to do.

What I would really be interested in, by the way is why this has been posted by EMI but is not being watched? It is not possible to post critical remarks at the videos of Angela Gheorgiu posted by EMI. Or at the EMI main site here. What can we conclude from this?

  • I do not like PJ just because of the promotional machinery that surrounds him. I knew nothing about him when I first heard his voice, but I was completely enraptured by it within the first few bars.

I do not care if it is pop or classical, I do not care if he is famous or not, I do not care what he looks like, I do not care if the music is profane or liturgical: he has a marvellous, pure, clear and very natural sound that I find to be most pleasing and very comforting, calming and soothing.

  • @carolineleiden I am totally in tune with you. I don't care who says what about

PJ. His musicality, his voice, singing, style, repertoire which I like very much. I don't care if this singing is pop Faure and not academic Faure, or his image or presentation

disturbs some people, I like his voice and singing above all the countertenors.

  • @pucciniverdi777 I am responding to you because you sound to be a fair person. I don't think you have read all the comments serenaluce and arpeggio1358 has been posting from the beginning which are mean and tasteless, totally unrelated to musicality of the singer and no artists should be subjected to that kind of comments.

Whose voice, artistry, repertoire you like or don't like is totally a subjective matter.

their non constructive, non musical personal bashing and not non

  • @serenaluce This is the first time you ever made sensible and understandable criticism

on PJ without mean, personal insults. I don't believe attacking the artist with insults

when you have legitimate criticism. Any intelligent artists and their fans are able to

accept that. When your criticism goes off the line and become unfair insults it is no longer healthy nor constructive. By the way Kowalski is growing on me. I like to hear your opinion on his YT site. Not here. Thanks

  • @serenaluce Why are you so offensive??? You sound unhappy.

  • @pucciniverdi777 I have not removed your comments nor any one's comments. I delete from my e-mail box as I do all the unnecessary mails. I am personally not afraid of anything and there are nothing to be afraid of. I do not feel it is norm when a person dislike certain artist and post negative and personal insults on many of his YT sites repeatedly. That is beyond posting one's opinion or comments. Comments should not be personal insults.

  • @pucciniverdi777 P.S. goes on and on and they will attack comment in favor of

Jaroussky even if the comments are not addressed to them. Selenaluse has been

posting her/his personal bashing, on other Jaroussky's video, totally unrelated to his

musicality. I personally dislike tasteless comments, personal bashing on any artist.

I believe constructive critic knows the fine line between critique and bashing.

  • Toglie il fiatto! Bravissimo!

  • I think I should repeat DO NOT FEED TROLLS, they are always looking for more XDDDD

Enjoy Jaroussky's talented voice or change video, it's up to you!

  • I'm not recommending this because I think one's criticism should be honest, but were you to post negative criticism of Serenaluce's and Arpeggio's favorite young countertenor, Nicholas Spanos, on his fans' You-tube sites, you would be subject to all sorts of nasty name calling. I know because I was.

  • @serenaluce Actually I said specifically that SPANOS sounded like a "weeping widow," though perhaps this tone is endemic to lower range contraltos and countertenors. I said that Jaroussky who sings higher and more lightly had less of this quality. For someone who likes neither broccoli nor spinach but between the two slightly prefers broccoli, Jaroussky is my broccoli. Some people love broccoli. Some love spinach. Some love both.

  • @serenaluce Sorry, no time to analyze your latest offering, Serenaluce. I'm off to do a concert. You see, unlike you, I'm actually paid, if rather modestly, to sing.

  • @arpeggio1358 I see that your comment has been flagged as spam, Arpeggio; unfairly I think so I'll answer it. I said that countertenors sound like women because THEY DO SOUND LIKE WOMEN. Which doesn't mean that YOUR precisely tuned ear can't tell the difference, but to the average listener they sound like women. I would suggest that YOU were the one INFERRING that I thought that all CT's were gay or gave a rat's ... if they were.

  • @larrydonguy PS: Also, as you should have seen by now, Arpeg, Your partner-in-arms, Serenaluce, has made all sorts comments not so much implying as outright saying that Jaroussky is a boy-girl. You might take a(nother?) look at the insults she has hurled his way.

  • @serenaluce Sorry, but neither my health (I'm on a blood thinner) nor my palate can tolerate too many green vegetables. I've listened to a few of those folks, quite enough for my taste. I now see that Arpeggio also criticizes Jaroussky for being feminine. Isn't criticizing a countertenor for being feminine a bit like criticizing an interior decorator for the same? Surely it's not a disqualifying trait.

  • @arpeggio1358 besides whose voice, artistry, singing technique, personality on stage, looks

one like is very very subjective matter. Writing false information about the artist with vulgar

tasteless manner is nothing but showing where you come from and what your intention is.

Despite of your ugly spamming, viewers has been increasing constantly. It would be wonderful if viewers doesn't have to read all your rubbish and simply enjoy PJ's singing.

    ,

  • @Schizophreniac17 ignore 'them' the multi troll..she is not at all a well woman..add to that, that she is quite old enough to know better and find more gainful pursuits :)

  • @arpeggio1358 what is your intention writing un-constructive rubbish time after time? PJ fans is not going to turn away from him because you and serenaluce are crusading to educate us PJ is over promoted POP CT, uses MC and on and on. Did you think this video was from concert? This is a recording session. What are you talking about.

Have you ever been to Pj, Scholl, Asawa, Esswood, Taylor concert? I have been to three of their concerts and I like PJ the best.

    to

  • @Schizophreniac17 There is a saying"The beauty is in the eyes of beholder". I'd like to add to it ears, a brain and a heart. Those who don't have that cannot appreciate the beauty. They are obsessed by their own negativeness and what worse, they are vulgar, malicious, jealous and simply trying to hack this site or other PJ's site. Useless and dirty acts but she thinks she was trying to be humorous and we take her too seriously. So don't feed her malicious sense of humor !!

  • haha vraiment incroyable, d'une grande pureté et d'une infinie justesse :)

  • @serenaluce

None of your business. I came to know all I was interested in. Bye.

  • @serenaluce

    No more questions.

  • @serenaluce

so you never heard him in reality?

  • @serenaluce

You wrote PJ uses a mic everywhere. Where did you get that information from?

  • @serenaluce I understand that you never heard PJ in real. Making all those comments

based on the video you watch? Pity on you. Actually his voice is very large, and he uses chest so much so that I was afraid his shirts is too tight and the button will pop out !! I still don't understand why you are so malicious about him. His popularity? being so well promoted? being able to sing in many first class concert halls? Audience love him and he has all the qualifications and more.

  • @pedrofribeiro Trying to criticize an artist on video and CD only is very unjust. Have you ever heard Bartoli on stage? She has magnetic power and personally that audience are pulled to her. Artist who can give bliss of happiness and deep involvement to satisfy audience's varied musical background are the real artist and any negative quality you mention are trivial matter. Great artist has both great musicality and human appeal to the audience and Bartoli sure has all that.

  • The bliss of heaven in the voice of a man...

  • I simply cannot believe how this discussion has gone completely out of control these last two pages. Come on people: how about a little good taste and common decency from now on, to match the beautiful music?

  • @carolineleiden Hi Caroline, I'm Pilar from PJ's forum. I agree with you. PLEASE DON'T FEED THE TROLLS. I saw arpeggio1358 and serenaluce in other PJ's videos, I guess they are crazy in love with him and feel frustated. Otherwise I can't understand why are they spending their time listening to him if they despite Jaroussky talent so much. So, let's enjoy Mr. Jaroussky gifted performances and FORGET ABOUT THOSE TROLLS!

  • Actually they are not. arpeggio, for example, USUALLY expresses her opinions without vulgarity or personal insults. I find both singers quite talented but not to my taste. If you prefer a man who sounds like an exceptional budding soprano you'll like Jaroussky. If you prefer a man who sounds like a seasoned contralto (Madame Schumann-Heink?) or mezzo you'll like Spanos. I prefer men who remind me of men. There are plenty who don't like either for you folks to argue violently among yourselves.

  • @JaRoWi1647 Couldn´t agree with you more. People, please stop reacting to the TROLL "serenaluce"! (By the way, those who always agree with "her" probably are the same person.)

  • @JaRoWi647

Aw, now where will I get my source of snorts and giggles?

    I kid; I'll be good.

You're totally right on this point. :)

  • @serenaluce

Once again, you have totally missed the point. Good job!

I wonder why it's always so painfully obvious to everyone (except you) that the only reason I would point fingers at you especially is your prolific Jaroussky-bashing. Still waiting for a clear reason from you, eight comments later. Perhaps you can finally grace us with a response~

(Violahen8, unlike you, is a normal person that comments once or twice, so I don't question her integrity. The same cannot be said for you.)

  • @serenaluce как же я устала везде встречать твои тупые комментарии! Сгинь уже, неполноценная.

  • He sings like a bird ... Greetings from Poland

  • such purity of voice.... angelic, emotional, such gentle technique... is simply divine!
