From 1972 to 1984 I counted watching all the series, Liverpool won 16 trophies not counting Intercontinental cups and a couple of Charity shields, incredible.
Is it just me or was footy much better then-the working man's sport before Sky and the premier league got their grubby mits on it and tried to turn it into a soap opera?
Where the Everton players in a hotel, when they were looking out of those windows? It looked more like a block of council flats, on some shithole estate. As for Barrymore, what was his association with Watford? He's a Millwall fan, like Danny Baker, and, er, Max Bygraves.

The League trophy, FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup, all went back to one city that season...what a year for Everton and Liverpool.
