  • shame for watford just like brighton the previous year - amazing achievement for both teams to get to wembley :)

  • That last penalty that Parkes saved was taken by Eidur Gudjohnsen´s dad, Arnor.

  • yer alrite barnes ,,,

  • From 1972 to 1984 I counted watching all the series, Liverpool won 16 trophies not counting Intercontinental cups and a couple of Charity shields, incredible.

  • upload the 84-85 and 85-86 seasons please!

  • i tot there r 2 more seasons they showed?? where r e others???

  • Is it just me or was footy much better then-the working man's sport before Sky and the premier league got their grubby mits on it and tried to turn it into a soap opera?

  • Thank you so much for posting these up. Such a shame they never did finish the rest of the decade. So many memories, and wonderful football.

  • Michael Barrymore, what a complete twat

  • @county4life ha ha cringe cringe.pity he didnt introduce barnes to his swimming pool

  • Hahaha. We won the build up!!! I'm sure they put that on the up under Evetons name....

  • Well done Barnesy, you won the build up! Congratulations! We won that big silver cup thing you had to walk past in the royal box!!

  • I am sure winning it twice with Liverpool made up for it

  • At least that Liverpool team could spell

  • The League trophy, FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup, all went back to one city that season...what a year for Everton and Liverpool.

  • and the UEFA cup at spurs.

all but one trophy were won by a english team that year

  • Where the Everton players in a hotel, when they were looking out of those windows? It looked more like a block of council flats, on some shithole estate. As for Barrymore, what was his association with Watford? He's a Millwall fan, like Danny Baker, and, er, Max Bygraves.

  • @bugstrut ha ha i agree mate im everton and i was a fuckin dump where thet stayed,we were ask to leave 5 times before the police arrived. As for barrymore he didnt have a swimming pool in them days. But what a total embarressment.you could feel the it amongst the players,What was that all about

  • the season Southampton came 2nd in the league and the only match they show is losing 4-0 to QPR!!!

  • Winning on Penalties is not convincing for any side. Spurs and Pool both won it that way. If only England could have picked up some tips

  • A fantastic achievement for Liverpool ...

  • Not as great as '99? Even though they played more games?

  • It was better than '99, actually.
