  • this lady was and still is a bad girl

  • so passionate song !

  • Rolonnnn, Donna Summer la reyna de la musica disco (La Amo)

  • another example of just how talented donna summer was and is to this day

  • I loved the seventies because of this kinda music She was a beauty

  • Done with a great voice, no auto tune, no computer magic--just God-Given vocal chords and lots of practice.

  • Simply wonderful. Music like this always resonates.

  • WHO SINGS THE MALE PART OF THE DUET

  • @BILL51156 I believe that was Teddy Pendergrass.

  • @qguru that was one of the members of Brooklyn Dreams a disco group that also included Donna's husband Bruce Sudano.

  • @BILL51156 I believe that was Teddy Pendergrass.

  • @BILL51156

Joe Esposito; he also had a few hits in the 80's. You may recognize his voice in the "Flashdance" soundtrack,

Lady, Lady, Lady, Lady and the on the Karate Kid II "You're the Best Around".

  • @BILL51156 Teddy pendergrass if thats how you spell his name?

  • a great song,the end of a great era,GW

  • anybody else crumble to pieces and reconnect into a greater single being after hearing her voice in the chorus?

  • The UNDISPUTED Queen of Disco!

  • I was 16 in '76 & discovering all kinds of things about myself & the likes of Donna Summer gave me the escape I needed from all that was crap in my life & the world in general.Disco reined supreme.

  • a beautiful duo! she has a miracle voice!

  • Love this !!!! it's almost 30 years later..........probably is...still great~ Can't wait til my child goes back to college.

  • @undeadarmyofone what does your child going to college have to do with anything

  • guys donna is" the voice of disco"

  • I am 53, from the big Apple. Grew up listening to all this music. I am so glad I grew up during those times, it started in 76 for me then it ran all the way to 83 when I joined the Marines. I hung out tough for 7 years in the best city in the world. Loved it. Worked all day, partied all night and then repeated.

  • @WILDSTYLENYC Concur, and look at the condescending/disgusting music today; rap, hip hop and punk music; glorifying gang violence, sexual perversion, racism, sexism and dressing down in language and attire; pure stupidity.

  • And im not being one sided or closed mind about it either, but all these crap singers now days couldn't carry Donna's Bra let alone a tune in a bucket

  • love, love, love this song!!! It's my all time #1. she is truly the Disco Queen!!

  • They said disco was dead. Now it's back, only by another name. Gaga is making a ton of money off disco music. So its Rihanna, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and the rest. We been there and done that. We even have the T Shirt. Donna is the original queen of disco though...always.

  • @breezykewl that s means nothing new under the sun taking old hits to make them theirs

  • I remember it like it was yesterday, I was able to catch her in Lake Tahoe Nev.in '78 She was red hot and enjoyed smaller venues even if everything was going gold. If any one has had the pleasure of seeing her live know that if anything she sounds even Better live. Even after all these years she can out perform well, any of them really as most are just packaged performers that lip sync due to lack of real talent, Audience's today are really missing what we had TALENT.

  • esta musica me fascina recuerdo muy buenas epocas

  • Great song from the killer MacArthur Park Suite from the wonderful "Live and More". double album.

  • cool song

  • Donna and Joe hit #4 in Billboard, 3-17-79. God bless ya, sister Donna! Thanx for postin' it.

  • if we could only back in time for a moment

  • @55102 Heavy Sigh, if only, hmmmm( i would change sooooo many things), but that's just wishful thinking.

  • dancing all saturday night into sunday morning to these songs.......

    i was young then....heaven knows.

  • WHEN I WAS A KID I LOST MY HEARING AND THIS IS THE LAST SONG I HEARD B4 GOING DEAF(NOW I WEAR HEARING AIDS)

  • @STACI310 Bless you Staci. Donna takes me back so many years and reminds me of someone I loved and lost (but he never loved me). I think of him now and he's an old man; I wonder if he thinks about me? Gx

  • @STACI310 great great song to be the last heard...

  • she lloks like brandy at the 2:00 pic

  • Who's doing this song with her? It almost sounds like James Ingram or Michael McDonald...

  • disco queen at her finest

  • that picture is nasty. like a black woman in the 1950s trying to be sexy. her music tanked in the 1980s exvcept for 1989. she had a good single" carry on" in 1992 that was mostly not heard and she hasn't made anything good since then.

love this song. it should be a staple of 70s radio instead of good ole boy billy joel who sucks.

  • @The096757 Lets have a negative attitude.

  • i love this song

  • I ADORE this woman..

  • Such a classy lady with a gift from God.

  • who is singing the male vocals on this song? when I first heard this song on the radio I did not think it was Donna summer I thought it was Ashford and simpson.

  • Makes you want to kick back and watch The Six Million Dollar Man.

  • Heaven knows you just wanted to get inside Donna Summer and feel what she was feeling! Expressing her vocal gift to the world with love, sadness and joy all at once.

She was exalted to being a true goddess that crossed all boundaries of age, sex and "race". She was dirty and sweet and I don't know anyone who didn't love her. Love To Love You, Donna Summer! If there is a heaven, she'll be on the radio when we get there. I'm A Wanderer and I'm into outer space. She was the cat's ass of Disco era.

  • this is feel good music...when u hear it you instantly get happy and start smiling and bobbing your head...great era ..great music

  • I just love this song; can;t stop singing it to myself. Gx

  • i love this song and this tune shes the goddess of disco.

  • it was such a care free life back then. Just dancing and doing your thing. Yeah I miss the 70s too

  • I'm not talking just for play!!!! What a sound and what a singer. Donna is up there with the greats. Gx

  • Donna did a duet with Joe Esposito, of Brooklyn Dreams. Billboard's #39 song of '79. They hit #4 pop, #10 soul, #17 AC, in Billboard. God bless ya, Miss Donna!

  • just a awsome singer is Donna Summer

  • Like another poster had said it's hard to choose a favorite since Donna Summers had so many great songs but I do put this one near if not at the top of my personal list of her songs. Thank You for putting this on the tube.

  • Heaven knows, where the time has gone...

  • Who was singing this with her? Was it a member of Brooklyn Dream?

  • Awesome song!!!

  • I love the music from the 70's when I was young, single, carefree!!!

  • OMG why do Donna Summer records always remind me of someone who eluded me? Still think about him!

  • It is hard to say I have a favorite Donna's song.. basically it is impossible because she had so many great songs. I want to go back to the 70s and live there forever. No more today's boring dance music. I got the album with this recording it is followed by Last Dance. O.o I may be getting older, but I remember the great stuff.

  • First time i heard this i was a small fry watching Nell Carter and Ray Parker jr sing this on Gimme a Break. I have loved this song since.

  • very beautiful disco tune

  • the young generation should listen this music before to say: "Disco is has been!"

32 years later I listen this music with the same happiness.

  • @misterpadi

Yeah I agree, even though I was just a kid during that period when Disco really peeked (77-79) I feel so blessed to have been able to experince it! A lot of good music came out of the disco area and Ladonna (that is Donna Summers real first name) did rule!

  • @misterpadi me either

  • I love this song a lot..the first time I heard it was at my job and they still play it =]

  • GREAT LYRICS! What a beat!! Listen up Boys!!

  • The songstress of the 70's ....No one will ever duplicate the DIVA from Dorchester, MA

  • @gpk1027 She reps us very well. She and my mom went to the same high school.

  • One of her best, and criminally underrated, along with "Our Love" [which kickstarted some runaway new-wave crossover hit] and "I Love You" [which should be played

at more weddings.] Mmm, the Carter years. : )

  • I was at MacLay Junior High School when I first heard her in 1977. She is a great singer.

  • Hahahahahaha! Whoo-hoo-eeeee! You frickin' go,girlf'! Whatever she is reported to have said about AIDS being god's retribution on 'fags',this woman is one of the few true divas! I had her double album,'Live and More' and absolutely treasured it,till my soddin' nephew turned it into an ash-tray by melting the vinyl, lol! Happy days, lol!

  • @popazz1 Donna Summer is the disco music what Hulk Hogan is to wrestling. The Babe Ruth of her era. There will never another Disco Diva, Highwaymen, or The Beatles.
