@papershadow69 Apparently, he went back to his own time. And that's quite contrary to what happened in the movie where the Terminator has John and Sarah lowering him into the molten steel.
I remember getting this for my 13th birthday back in 1994 (along with We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story....I ask for the Arcade version and Jurassic Park. My mom couldn't tell the difference between an SNES game and an Oldsmobile).
I went months before know that not killing the cops in the beginning of the mall will stop them from attacking you. Also I hated those damn driving stages.
I love the NES version of the Terminator 2, its one of my only shooter games on that platform (along with Metroid and "friday the 13th"). I own this one the Genesis. I through it into my window. Why couldn't they take some of the fun from the Terminator (genesis) and put it into both versions (SNEs and genesis) of it? I hate this game, can't even beat the first level. It deserves to burn.
Oh yeah, I always forget that scene from the movie where Arnold was fighting the T-1000 as it melted away, then the whole plant blows up, then Arnold simply goes back to the future...
did u cheat or anything ? i kinda loved this game.. i tryed so hard to do it back then... remember bringing the console everywhre i was obsessed cause its kinda the first game i couldnt but wanted to beat ! i think i tdid the mall then the other then i couldnt do thebike run
i do not know why people hate this, it is one of the BEST nes game not WORST :| when i was kid i was playing it but never finished, i was staking in last level...
I really hate to say it, but I was pretty dissapointed with this game. I saw a lot of potential in it. And believe me, this game could have been awesome. But I guess even in the present day, for a lot of gaming studios, its impossible to ask for a game based on a hit movie to rock.
3 was pretty good. Maybe not as good as 1 and 2. Just remember that Arnold is actually a human he ages and can't makes awsome stunts anymore. (Not sure but: also in the motorcycle stunt in T2 he fukced up his back)
Trial and error mostly. Though, I actually did do a lot better at the time I made this as opposed to when I first played it ten years ago when I couldn't even get past the Cyberdyne chase scene.
I remember renting this game. What a headache. Never made it past the third level or so. And this ending, wow. The Terminator teleports back, yeah makes sense right.
Okay, the ending in this SNES game makes no sense whatsoever. I mean T-1000 should instantly melt away the second he gets dipped into the molten steal! Not become some gigantic lava monster who you have to fight against! And also, the Terminator should give his little speech to John, and end the story how it ended in the movie! After all this IS based on the theatrical film "Terminator 2".
Funny is a giving the game a little too much credit. This game will cause you major headaches. I remember when I saw this at the rental store when I was a kid and how excited I was (same with Terminator 1), only to pop it in and find out what a piece of shit it is. Best I could do back then was get past Cyberdyne, never made it to the steel mill, and the fact you have to go back to the start when you die made it all the worse.
Oh god, the future objects. I can't believe I've forgotten about those...sounds like filler for a game more than anything. I still can't believe they dragged out the T-1000 death once he was in the fire. Should have been all she wrote after that.
You have to wonder what they were thinking sending him back in time and having such a huge explosion for no apparent reason whatsoever after defeating the T-1000.
Yeah, that's not all that made me wonder what they were thinking when they made this piece of junk. Throughout the game you have to find 'Future Objects' with the exception of maybe one level, and it's the most annoying thing in the game, next to the T-1000 appearing everywhere after the bar. That level is also the only time the music ever changes. Except driving levels, then all levels are the same repeating music.
Good point. This game is so overwhelmingly confusing that it leaves you with absolutely no idea on what to do or where to go. That is unless you've already mastered the game by now. The objectives should be simple; find John and Sarah, protect them from the T-1000, etc. But "no" they had to mess with us a bit rather than staying true to what happened in the movie.

Where did the T-800 go?
He just blows up? I understand LJN sucked with games, but how hard is it to have the T-800 melt in the lava

Quinn5151 this game is from the 90s and T3 was released in 2003, they didn't knew that a sequel was coming.
simplythedouche No if the T-1000 was destroyed the game was complete and the terminator couldn't exist so he disappeared.

also, as others have said, why the hell does shooting a monster made of molten lead with bullets do anything!?

Did the developers of this even watch Terminator 2 the whole way through? Or did they just take bits off trailers?

Yeah it could be through the eyes of sarah connor. They were saved in 1997 to be killed in 2003. Sarah never saw Judgement day.

Ugh, I had the mistake to buy this game a couple of years ago.
LJN/original Acclaim had released a rather good Alien 3 tie in game for the SNES so I thought that this would be a good title too.
Strange thing is that it was made by Bits who did release a somewhat enjoyable Terminator 2 for the Gameboy.
Man, what went wrong?

I finished this game too, but went throght it because I had kind of a hope to see something good in this. :P
In short way: one of the worst game I ever played.
I don't know why I got disapointing. But I thing that pictures was from the removed final of the movie. But, I mean, so what? T-101 simply disapeared!
molinskypuc 4 years ago
why didn't he shoot the lava monster from the top where he was initially, instead of running down to where he can get hit by the lava balls?
thugix 4 years ago
Well, it is automatic. The T-101 runs down by himself, so there isn't another option.
I know, it sucks!
