i live in altoona and ive been to quite a few curve games..and well..alvarez is has alot of power but the slowest bat i had ever seen

i can just c it now...the 3 headed monster of mccutchen, tabata, and alvarez. once the buccos get them up there, theyll start to sign and develop role players to fit around them. add in some good pitching and the buccos could be contenders as early as 2011

You're right he does have issues although I still think he has way more upside than either of the guys they got in return. I've seen him play a couple games last year for Altoona and man is he fun to watch! Kid's got a great swing.
