only the harmonics are:

5---4---3---2,5---2 all on the E string (in this case C# string)

the 2,5 is more like a 2,6. but every guitar is different, you need to check out where this harmonic is on your guitar

I say this because I have no idea what any of the guitar 'jargon' like chromatic or harmonics (or even a songs 'key') mean. Seriously, I have absolutely no idea, and the internet (or pretty much google) have never done justice with a good, solid explanation.

So, do you just 'figure it all out' as you go, or did you learn it from somebody else?

oh, now i know what you mean. but it really goes from high to low, cause i play harmonics, not normal notes. and if you play harmonics, the tone tone of the chromatics is kind of inverted. well it's hard to explain (i usually don't speak english) but the way i play it is the way it should be. wes plays it that way, too.

the verse is wrong... he uses the pick up selector moving it up and down (just like tom morello) with the volume of the pick up bridge turned down... saw the woodstock 99 live... any way the rest of the song sounds right

no, it's definitly not drop D. it's "C# F# B E G# C#" for sure. i got the songbook, and if you got a live version of that song you'll see that it's played with normal powerchords and not with the bareé kinds when you tuned in drop. also the deepest note in the song is a C#, so it can nevr bei drop d-tuning
