one way of opposing threats of revolutionary change to the status quo by those in power is by dimissing the opposition. i want peace and justice, but this cannot happen if government, patriarchy, racism, hierarchy, and capitalism exist. we must tear down these insitutations and build up sustainable alternative insitutions based on cooperation and solidarity in order to have peace and justice.

I can only presume that since you posted this comment under an Anti-War topic that you profess PEACE, but yet you have hatred in your speech. That makes you a HYPOCRITE! What's worse, a PEACE OFFICER (as they are statutorily entitled in Washington) doing his/her job, or a HYPOCRITE! At least the PEACE OFFICER has sworn an oath to uphold the PEACE and is held accountable to it, and not just putting on a facade as the HYPOCRITE does.

Many of us "Harborites" were too scared of the police to come out there with you. We live in a small place here and knew that we faced constant harassment if we would have participated. I see now why some people had bandannas covering their faces and hats over their hair. What a shame that our rights as citizens to free speech and our liberties don't count if we live in Bush country.
