WOW! Excellent playing. Learning quickly is a gift of youth. I used to be able to pick up new pieces quite quickly and remember them all without any music. Nowadays.... sheet music all the way and I have to work so hard to get new pieces to a reasonable standard. 1.5 hours a day isn't very much. I often get to that or do more.... bearing in mind alot of that isn't focussed practice though.... XD Anyways, keep it up and always enjoy playing, as that is what playing should be.... enjoyable!
I'm playing these piece for my Grade Seven exam in April! I am 11 Yrs old and I am also playing Fiesta, and that Chopin - Mazurka in A Minor! Please give me tips, you are legend
Wow good luck with your exam. Tips wise ... just practice all aspects of the exam - aural and sight reading, they're the bits that Grace has a little problems with. Pieces wise just add in your interpretations of the piece (or your teachers). Then you'll be fine! = )
Grace has incredible talent, and just 9 years old !! im only working at grade 3 and cant remember any of my pieces off the top of my memory despite originally learning tunes by ear.
Does grace play any other instruments, grade 7 sounds huge amount of work, how long she been playing ?
Grace also plays the violin and is around Grade 5 standard after 1 year of learning. She has been playing the piano for around 2 years and is currently studying at the Junior RNCM. ; )
hmm ... not too sure! She plays around 1.5 hours a day and works on the normal things like pieces, scales and sight-reading. She just seems to learn new pieces really quickly! ^_^
thats not a suprise if she;s practicing for 1.5 hours a day! Im not one to frown on the whole parents pushing thir kids thing if the kids are happy . but played for dedication!
Just to clear this up, 1.5 hours a day is not a long time and we don't push her at all. She plays whenever she feels like it - it totals 1.5 hours. She never plays when she is not up to it.
Wow, not bad mate! 14 and still attempting to get this song down, I feel kind of inadequate. You might want to relax the left hand a little, I noticed it was slightly tensed towards the middle of the piece, but whatever floats your boat. :D I don't know if you've taken your exam yet, but good luck if you haven't!
I just started taking a piano class last week and watching this is so exciting. I wonder if I'll ever be able to play like that. Keep up the good work.
I love your piano! what make is it?
And very VERY good playing! you are extremely talented!!
