Love the truck man. You should check mine out. Gonna put up a video of a 60-90 pull soon. 302 with a k&n cold air intake, built transmission, full locker rear end, and flowmasters.
they last long, there hard rubber BUT not such a smooth ride... Offroad they grip and kick ass.. as for if they last well that depends on where you drive mostly... on a daily driver fully aired up the middles will wear...kinda deflated and used off/on road they last longer.... for mud truck, beach,or farm fun they last 4 years plus.. i had mine for about 4 years+... BUY HARD RUBBER..its a rougher ride, but takes a beating..softer rubber is better for onroad use, but tear up and ware faster.
oh really, thats interesting. unfortunately my truck is about 70% road 30% mud, so I dont know if the 30% would be worth having boggers, but yeah i heard they kick some major ass.
well thank question can unlock everyones opinion.... i recomend just start with what you got and take it from there,go with your budget.whats available,etc.. also mechanical is more important then body/interior... work for me, im a blue collar worker...just budget/shop around/do reasearch etc.
i have a very worked 351w never did me wrong..would i rather have a 460 bb hell yeah..but worked with what i had...
4 front shocks,2 rear all rancho 9000 adjustables,2 sway bars rancho 5000..l&l ladder bars...gears and rears where custom made,i'd have to get back to you on them,(been a while)
i used to be a mechanic, so its second nature for me...but if you or a friend has basic mechanical abilty, and can be patient looking up the detailed stuff then yeah shouldnt be to hard.
like i tell all my friends..DO THE RESEARCH. before you start buying stuff,or take stuff apart..
true dual..hedman long headers,3 inch in/out 40 series flowmasters(wich the baffles probally rusted out by now)and 3 inch out to the rear with dual flamethrower kit and headman 4inch tips.. NO CATS/POlUTION stuff. :)
lmfao i got a 78 f-150 with a built 351 and it screams. and in fact i did t-bone my buddy(not my fault) and his car was effed up pretty bad...not a scratch on the old ford thanks to a homeade monster bumper :). nice bronco by the way!

The big tires make it super easy to run over small children in the road.
You know, like the ones in neighborhoods.
Now haul ass over a set of rail road tracks for some air!!

sweeeeeet truck!!! did you need to change the gears in the axles for bogger tires?
bdaddy23 3 years ago
yeah, i had stock gears and it lost its throttle responce and speed.. so i updated the gears.
TECK13BEAST 3 years ago
yeah thats what I was thinking I would have to do.
is it easy to replace gears?
bdaddy23 3 years ago
