What about ordinary Iraqis who were killed everyday by American soldiers? I'm sure there were many children being killed, but of course for them it is justified in self defense, oh please...
@16.41 Also remember how the American admin. chose to ignore the UN when it suited it's purpose and went to war in Iraq. Also remember all the 'credible' evidence of Iraq having weapons of mass destruction, and Colin Powell being very insistent? Sigh. Double standards...
@nabil113 This is not about USA , this is not about power. I dont care who, or what , JUST SAVE THE PEOPLE OF SYRIA! Your thinking is wrong, who cares if America saves them? atleast their saved and served with some compassion and empathy.
@ARCSTREAMS I know that he's not like the other dicators , I know he cares and he's smart but the has lost control of the Syria, he doesnt know how to fix it!! And idk maybe the people of syria has started this ? but they are still his men! he gives them directions and tells them what to do. and yeah, his men killed my relatives.
He should consider himself the luckiest dictator and mass murderer alive if he manages to make it the the International Court in Hague in one piece. His fate is sealed.
Soon, Assad will either leave or meet the fate of Qaddafi. 10% of the population (Alawites) cannot rule the other 90% indefinetely. A government cannot stay in power that murders innnocent protesters. The end is near Assad, and also for your brutal supporters. Better find another country to live in.
@prubin8 What the regime does is evil - civil war is evil too and causes the bloodshed of Syrians. From my viewpoint it would have been better, not to escalate this whole thing and story. To reform, have real reforms and elections and so on. But the West, some countries, as some muslim neighbours - they directly escalate it to a civil war or help to do so, this is the other side of the medal. What Assad does is evil - but as said.
@myrrrdin I agree it has happened too fast, it would be nice if a peace deal was made. But Assad has been in power for 12 years since 2000. Why now? Why did he wait? I'm highly sceptical he intends to have reforms. Earlier in 2011, when Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and other countries started having chaos, Assad made a silly statement that this would never happen in Syria, because everyone is happy with the government. Then, he fired on innocent protesters, this started the armed resistance.
@sweetsingeruk i guess he wasint paying attention lol,,but did assad say that it would never happen to syria? because i asked my uncle(syrian) the same thing while chaos was happening in the other countries and he said also he doubts it would happen there because ppl are united and for assad and there are no problems there.
if US n israeli funded protestors n al-aqaeda..... sorry i mean al-CIAda, bring bashar down, say bye bye syria who is against israel n say hello to a wahhabis governed country owned by the US n israel
@wegotnugs I have been in Daraa once. How is it today? Peacefull? Control? Civil war? If you jump on the escalation civil war train, it will cost more blood than if you would wait for change. I would suggest peaceful protest is still the weapon with a little sum of blood shed for change. But hard for me to say as I am not there.
@wegotnugs EVERYcountry in the world there are people who Do not want the president they have. inlcuding america there is not a single country in the world where this is different . Since you dont know what "democracy" of the west means. i tell you is horrible. you are SLAVE of debts or homeless or very Rich. is a system that really benefits 1% of the population. what you want is not that good. there are thousands protest in Europe and USA to change their system.
@Goodfellow62 Well - he needs to reform instead of sacrifcing people or taking this into account when civil war raises. Sure there is support from outside destabilzing Syria. Sure there are people "in gangs" but these gangs fight as freedom fighters - they are no "bandits" - so to get peace - well what if Assad steps back and election give the voice to Syria itselve?
@myrrrdin@myrrrdin Syria have about 20millions of citizens.. if a few hundreds in the streets protest for him to step down.. does that means he need to quit? absolutely NOT. In every country in the world there is always opposition. and protest. diference is Syria have terrorist killing civilians and soldiers so NATO can have excuse to remove him from power. thats the way gaddafi was removed with allegations of hundreds "peacefull civilians killed by gov.
Oh boy, why did they send Barbara Walters there?!?! I don't like the Syrian regime, but this "journalist" lacks ethics. Very bad way to represent our country, the U.S. I understand she has ask the "tough questions" but man, what a way to disrespect a head of state.
With that being said, the guy is denial about somethings, like the killings but time will tell what really did happens once history judges this.
This girls a b***h what a "good" way to represent America. Assad would'nt even retaliate to Obamas comment, which was another greatt way to represent America. People need to leave Syria alone its a great country without people invading it and creating rumours...
@HermosaChavez22 It is also our problem - to be solved different. But if people die as they did in Hitlers Nazi Germany - surely a problem - even if Assad is not comparable with Hitler. Democracy is the problem of all. Why not? Surely I and all people have the right to work for democracy in other countries.
@myrrrdin Im sorry who are you to syria? and where are you from? this is nothingggg compared to hitler and the nazi problem, literally nothing. yeah like everyother country people want their rights and their freedom and like the united states we can deal with it by ourselves im pretty sure just because i support gay marriage doesnt mean i want china or any other country coming here to start problems. And FYI Assad isss rewriting the syrian constitution to satisfy his protestors.
@HermosaChavez22 Don't tell them.. that Assad had planned presidential elections ,and doing reforms . All they want to listen is how "brutal killer and dictator" he is.. they dont want democracy.. protestors want to be in power by force like (lybian rebels) which is not the same thing.

Assad is a pathological lier and a psychopath cold blooded murderer. Assad regime considers any sincere citizen is a traitor and must be excluded or exterminated. Dr. Ibrahim Othman who was interviewed by CNN was murdered by Assad's thugs yesterday for treating the injured demonstrators. loyalty medals are given to enemies of humanities such as doctors & nurses who kill the injured at the government's hospitals. @ibnsyrhoran With all do respect, but who are you to call him a murderer. Can you blame him terrorists going into his country and causing all this turmoil? Realistically speaking? Lol it's funny because the media is so influential. But the reality is that, the western meadia along with al jazera unfortunately do not tell the TRUTH. Why don't we hear much about the wall street protests? Peaceful protesters, getting shot at by rubber bullets and tear gas, and getting spray with pepper spray?
@MrPeace643 Well both is evil. American Pepperspray as Bullets against Syrian Opposition as paritally violent getting turmoil, which might simply grow as it is described more and more. Assad only naming one side of the truth is not good, too.
@MrThunderGorilla Surely not, he is not an idiot but he and his people should simply reform. As you NEED TO ACT peacefully. My strong impression as the escalation will cost manies Syrians blood.

@cjpwi Why should he like them? They stole apart of his land? Israel is hated by a lot of people. What right do they have to kill Innocent people (Palestinians) and take there land? They have no right under what ever circumstance. Palestinians like all the other people in this world deserve to have a country? Why is Israel allowed to kill people and steal land? Where is the justice, why don't some understand?
@MrPeace643 Israel lived in Israel for a long time, hundreds of years as Palestinians do. ITS ALL LIE AND ONLY DUMB POPULATION OF US BELIEVS IT that is why.

@MrPeace643 Well very simple - they simply do so and it is not good. But on the other side - how to get this blood out of the streets? How ending this obviously forced and supported vicious cirlce? If others stir this story - my question is - how to end the story? Assad stepping back still seems the only option with lowest bloodshet-sum. And simply Assad would not damage himselve giving a new celarer order to change doing and style of military. Hard to stop this circle.
