@mynoobproductions I don't think it would matter, but I don't think it would compare to Battlefield 3. It is good fun and there is a singleplayer played the same way as multiplayer against bots. You can download the demo for it and try it out, search it on google.

@mynoobproductions go to gamershell,com type battlefield 2 demo in the search engine, download the demo and you can play it online, the servers are full 64 players per server. Yes many people still play it, its that good. Look for cobra servers.

@mikeyman6129 i know this is from 6 months ago but the way you get 'good' like this guy is to invest in a PC joystick. Don't even step into one of those things without a joystick. Thrust paddles are a bonus, but necessary. you can still use the keyboard to control thrust (W and S keys) and yaw (A and D left/right motion)

On the real F-35A you only get 180 rounds for the 25mm GAU-22/A which will last you 3 measly seconds and 220 for the F-35/B or /C versions which horrible in a dogfight. That and only 2 sidewinders and 2 other missiles though you could carry weapons externally at the expense of stealth on the wings. I would prefer if it came with 900 to 1,200 rounds in the real thing because 3,600 rounds a minute will chew up your stores real quick EVEN if it is a last ditch weapon.

@aizaz1234 Yeah I know! Dont get me wrong, the radar and other systems seem to be quite something. I just dont get it though, only 180? The F-15's gun (M61/A1 20mm) came with a whopping 914 rounds for it. And I heard that the F-35 is supposed to replace the A-10? GAU-8 with 1,350 rounds or GAU-22/A with 180? The calibers dont even compare and the ammo loads???

I just DONT get it. I just won't feel the same if I couldn't get behind an enemy, pull the trigger and watch it get utterly vaporized!

Try flying the jet with high sens, max the two factors. I don't really know any tips, I just always fly with mouse, don't have a joystick for myself.

What about a using the arrow keys? I'm a 2142 gunship whore, and I use the arrow keys for evading, then when i need to kill something I switch over to the mouse, can you do the same thing in BF 2?

Thinking of getting BF 2 anyway, the dogfights in 2142 are kinda boring.

Yeah 2142 is boring, I hit brigadier General and got bored, dogfights are lame cause anti air is everywhere. I don't use arrow keys, only ASDW and mouse :D

And a dogfight in 2142 is pretty much, you get shot, turn your shields on, then circle the other guy till one of you dies. Anyway I just thought you could use the arrow keys since you don't need to 'drag' them kinda thing, like you hold ^ and you'll keep doing a loop for as long as you hold it, which is pretty much what the joystick kindve does.
