probably in post production. it must not necessarily be a single continuous shot. because the hallway is empty, he easly could have stopped, clear the rail and then start shooting again. this is my opinion.
Good free-form dolly shot. If you use After Effects you can tack the occasional jumps in frame composition. It is also possible track by hand in Vegas or other editor.
By tracking the motion you would would not be able to tell the difference between your rig and a 60K rig on film.

Check out my dolly test. I used a home made dolly track. Just click my name and it'll play on my channel.

@aldoileanumeliber you can also use a dolly without tracks, like the panther dolly which uses pumped up wheels...

It was a wheel dolly, meaning no track. :)
VionVid 3 years ago 2
@Ipodtouchboy365 There was no track. He probably just used a platform with wheels.
Justintimefor2006 1 year ago 2
@Ipodtouchboy365 He didn't use a track, not all dollies need tracks.
MrJac53 1 year ago 3
@Ipodtouchboy365 I think they were just using the wheels, not the track.

@Ipodtouchboy365 Maybe he just use a tripod on wheels?
BoiledBlackMilk 8 months ago 4
@Ipodtouchboy365 it's not a track, it's a simple dolly - tripod on wheels :) Could've also used a steady cam
akshay681186 6 months ago
@Ipodtouchboy365
It must be a tripod dolly where you have wheels attached to your tripod.

How does this dolly work?

This is brilliant. Just Amazing.

Good editing saved some jittery dolly moves. What did you use for your dolly moves? You couldn't be using track.
