A Love Crime or a Crime of Passion is different from Hate Crime because it deals with personal or passionate issues. A gay man killing his gay lover because he found him cheating is a Crime of Passion.

If you elevated political views to that status you would open the door to hundreds if not thousands of cases of firing someone for political views in universities, journalism, almost any creative field. Blacklisting is so common it's not even a mystery anymore. There are simply occupations with only one political view allowed.

Sorry, I don't see anything wrong with the way Fox covered that story. Fox's motto, "We report, you decide" and they are fair and balanced because they let anyone, conservative and liberals debate the issues. This is the problem, people attack Fox News but have no idea what they are about. Pretty sad!

Yes targetting gays is a hate crime.
Targetting liberals because you don't like their point of view is a rather tough sell to some people. Personally I say when you physically hurt anyone for anything just because you strongly disagree with a point of view or lifestyle I'd say yes it's a hate crime.
However you need to sell that to a jury and it could be a tough sell.

Liberal views are religious views? Well then, lets separate the liberal religion from the state. Crime should be treated as crime. Period. To hell with whether or not it inspires other people to do the same. Of course, as was previously noted, killing liberals is not a crime. As long as you get a permit for killing liberals, you can kill them to help thin the herd. Otherwise they over-reproduce and ruin the environments they are in.

A Hate Crime is a crime against a group of a specific grouping such as violence against gays, women, blacks, asians, liberals, ect. A Hate Crime does not justif a personal or passionate cause but an attempt to silence or bring fear to those groups of people. So yes, this is a Hate Crime.

I am speaking of cases where it was confirmed by overwhelming medical evidence that the perp is guilty and the judge gives him a light sentence. If he wasn't guilty, they wouldn't give a sentence at all. Therefore, the logical conclusion is that the judge is deliberately going soft on rapists.
